I'm in the minority I think, in that my LEAST favorite seats are 4-6. If there are railbirds, those are the seats where you are most likely to have someone standing behind you. And, I often feel a little more cramped there.
Sitting on the "curve" always makes me feel like I have more elbow room just BECAUSE of the curve of the table. Your knees may be as close to the person next to you, but I always feel like I have more arm/shoulder room.
But, I'm really an oddball, because sometimes I prefer to sit in the seats on either side of the dealer! (I think for most, these are the least favorite.) The two main reasons I like those seats are: First, I only have to protect my cards and chips on one side. Second, I feel a little more "stealth" in those seats. If I can't see everyone, they can't see me either. There's something unnerving about being raised by someone you can't see.
