Satellite to the Ferguson Im sure many of you know about fulltilts satellite to the ferguson at 11p.m est with 2700 entrants and 2650 of them are complete donks lol the blind structure is ridiculous as the blinds get up to 250/500 in a matter of minutes. Overall if u can get to the top 100 u win a tournament dollar which can be a good bankroll booster for the people trying to go from 0 to something without depositing. Any tips are appreciated but what i have so far is playing super tight early on letting the blinds reach at least 60/120 and wait for the fish to settle down and stop jumping around with 54s and then attack the blinds with potential starting hands as the blinds can really increase ur stack in a hurry. Any thoughts about this strategy or any new strategy ideas to work on?

You have one big thing wrong with this...all 2700 entrants are donks. There really isn't much of a strategy to play games like this. Play tight, but it is likely you will get sucked out on. On these huge donkaments, it is really mostly about luck. When you aren't putting anything into a buy-in, you aren't going to get much respect when you're playing correctly from the other people. If you're playing freerolls just for the hell of it for fun, go right ahead, but if you legitimately have no way of depositing and you need to build from $0, then enter every freeroll you can and grind. You will get lucky and go deep in some eventually, but don't get discouraged about it, and don't complain when you have someone call your AA and suck out on you with 57o, because you didn't put anything into it. Good luck

Play it tight I have won a seat in this satty a few times. So play tight and do not be in a hurry. Do not change your game just because it is a freeroll. if u want to change up and goof off play the 10,000 player fr and have fun. But the satty to fergy is a good way to get some where and is achievible. Good luck.

Tight in the beginning, loosen up as your M gets smaller and smaller. As the bubble draws nearer loosen up ALOT, i honestly just forgo cards in favor of position. Literally just play the player. Every move is all in, and you should ONLY be going for medium stacked players, especially if you're medium stacked yourself (most of the time you will be), if you're not medium stacked and you're a big stack, still you have to steal because trust me, a big stack one minute is a medium stack the next. If you're small stacked nearing the bubble, just look for places to shove. The reason you shouldnt be small stacked at that point is because you should have been shoving to make sure you at least stay medium stacked, or ur out because someone called ur shove. I wish i could be more detailed with like the actual numbers of participants left or blind levels that you should be changing up your game, but I havent played this in awhile.

1. 742place AJ vs. KK 250/500 2700chips- play tight early, steal blinds 60/120, wait for table to tighten up 2. 597place AJ vs. QJ vs. AQ 250/500 2100chips- Flop: Ah Kh 3H Js 3d-almost as if need to open up in the beginning and get chips to play with and bully people around and steal blinds. So much bad people in it its ridiculous. Blinds become so big so fast its not even a lot for the other big stacks to call which they did in the upper example excluding the AQ |

re: Satellite to the Ferguson poker You only find this "fergie sat" via the playmoney lobby on Full Tilt. Straightforward aggressiv turbo-abc-poker should be enough. I already qualified 1 time :-) 30.000 chips and you can fold into the "money" ! Good Luck !

Have to play really tight in the early stages, but loosen up when the blinds get high and your stack gets short. For example, with less than 10BB and you pick up KTo on the BTN and its folded to you. It may be a hand that's easily dominated but with such a small stack, you need to pick up chips or risk being blinded to death.
