safe bet...... or askin for trouble??

On a few occasions,with a,k in my hand i have seen the flop, after hitting an a and k i have called a bet worth double the pot... only 2 c j,j, come out on the turn and river... the other player calls my bet after checking on both the turn and the river, i lose to his set of j's.... so was i wrong too think i could win with the 2 pair????

yea i agree not enough information to judge your decision to call.. but generally speaking.. you cant fold that.. you'd be just playing way too tight.. you flop top pair with top kicker and you have to call the bets... its unfortunate that he hit the turn and river.. but the odds are with you.. more than 9 out of 10 hands.. you'd win it.. just a bad beat..
