Rules of 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball I just started to play the game 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball and it's a very interesting game to say the least. The game is like any other low game in which the lowest hand wins. This game is very similar to razz, but also very different at the sametime. I have noticed playing the past few days just in play chips that alot of players don't completely understand the rules of the game. The biggest problem I see is that most people think that it has the same rules that razz does, but that is not the case. In razz, STRAIGHTS/FLUSHES DON'T COUNT against you and ACES are ALWAYS LOW. With this given, the best possible hand in razz is the wheel: A 2 3 4 5. However, in 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball, STRAIGHTS/FLUSHES DO COUNT against you and ACES are ALWAYS HIGH. Therefore if you had the nut hand in razz which is A 2 3 4 5, this would only not be very good hand in Lowball because A is high. Also, if you were to have 2 3 5 6 7 in 2-7 with all clubs this would be considered a flush low which is definitely a bad hand in Lowball. In razz this would be a great hand because flushes do not count against you. With all this given, the best possible hand(the nuts) in 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball is 2 3 4 5 7. I hope this has helped anybody who has started to play this game or is going to give it a shot at some point. As always GL at the tables...Mikey

Thanks to the both of your for posting the complete rules of the game. I've had the opportunity to get in some triple draw freerolls, but since I haven't known how to play it, I've been reluctant to try. I'll have to give it a try next time I have the chance.

I enjoy 2-7 single draw, unfortunately on pokerstars the ring games are way out of reach of my bankroll so I just play the odd freeroll now and again. Triple draw can be played at slightly lower limits I think and has both limit and no limit on stars.

re: Rules of 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball poker Well another huge difference is that in Razz you are never dis carding and in 2-7 you do. My advice for this game is something I follow almost 99% of the time and that is try not to play a starting hand that does not have a 2 in it. Much in the same way that it is hard to play a PLO8 hand without an Ace.

Deuce-seven single draw, on the other hand, can be (and usually is) played no limit. |
