Razz: What do you think of it?

What do you all think of Razz? Do you like it, as compared to other non-holdem games? (I.e. does it take longer to finish than other games?).

Have you all tried Razz freerolls on FullTilt? Is it profitable (freerolls or any other MTT, or sitngos?). I do not know if I want to really get into Razz and play a bunch; I wonder if it takes as much skill as some other games might.

In my opinion every poker game that you know makes you a better poker player!
It is a little easier to learn than the other poker games and it is a lot of fun! Try it!

I love razz I made $20 got to almost $900 and now im down to like less than 300 so I HATE it now...grhh its a cool game though...the torunaments and SNG's are easier than the ring games thats for sure.

Ive played razz and its just a different type of poker game, but with quite
different rules. If its worth trying, well anything is worth trying, but a lot
of people say that they don't like it as much cause the straight... pair...
flush... and all those possible hands in normal poker just go away. So
ultimately it's up to you to decide if it's your type of game or not.
The freeroll of razz is just as profitable as the others, but there are very
few of them, probably cause most people play hold em and they enjoy
it more.

razz is probably my favorite game outside of NLHE. I think it is a real game of skill and luck obviously. and badbeats just do not occur in this game as often as others... which makes me happy to know

Bad beats happen, but losing a 76542 hand to a 7654A hand in LIMIT (all razz I've seen is limit) just doesn't compare to a NLHE bad beat.

Time wise, Limit tourneys tend to last about the same length as NL tourneys. First glance would suggest otherwise, since so few folks go out in the first hour, but after the break, the Antes and Bets are getting up there and the action picks up big time.

Well, I don't know how profitable a freeroll with 2700 player can be. It's a freeroll, so you can't lose money. Never tried a SNG, but sometimes play in the cash games microstakes at FT when I'm burned out from Omaha HL. And yes, it's usually profitable. It is a very simple game in itself. And because of that, you've got to fine-tune all the other nuances of the game (i.e. position, door cards, preflop betting, semi-bluffing), and that's where the skill kicks in.

I get plenty of bad beats, but they are more easily controlled, and not as fatal as in anything limit. Thing is, Razz is a game where typically, your hand can only get worse - because you fold the bad ones immediately. The good thing is, you keep a careful eye on the table and know when to fold em.

So true with the antes and huge bets on the last 2 streets. Still think it does take a little longer than a NL game, but not as much as you'd think.

Razz is definitely a fun game to play, especially at home games. Reverses the thinking a little bit and it's most definitely a bluffers delight

re: Razz: What do you think of it? poker

Honestly, I will play any poker game available. Razz is a game that I have found to be profitable as many players don't seem to play the game properly. I see people chasing so many times when they think they have outs (but they don't)
