| Raising on the blinds So, since I have been playing a version of small ball, I have not been raising when I am sitting on the blinds. My strategy has been to have some callers preflop going with me even if I have KK or AA, and if I don't then I shouldn't risk increasing the pot. But even if I am a fan of small ball, this is too radical. So I am beginning to enlarge pots with raises if I have KK or AA at least. (My problem is if opponents pay attention and know I play small ball, they will then KNOW I have a premium hand. Fortunately they don't pay attention much) I feel I should start raising more on the blinds. My question is: what range of hands do you use to raise with (in ABC poker) when you are in the blinds? Here is the problem I see especially: when there are already 3 callers and you sit with QQ and raise on the big blind to increase the pot. You get 2 callers and then you get a K on the flop. That cannot be good? |
