| Railing a table I am playing 10 handed cash NLH every day or so now and looking for some advice about what table to play at. I am playing at $0.05/$0.10 and I am a little confused over the stats which are shown at the lobby. On the site I play at there is Average pot size, percentage of players seeing the flop and the number of hands dealt per hour. I have a good grasp of what these all are for example the less people seeing a flop will generally result in the more hands there are an hour. At the moment I am a little scared of the big average pots and the number of people seeing the flop. However does this mean that there are a lot of loose players in the game, and if I hit big I could easily double or triple up. Currently I am looking for games with an average pot under $1 and with less than 15% of players seeing the flop and after 2500 hands I have upped my roll by 50%. I do however find these tables a little tight with alot of button raises of 3/4 times the blind and then it continues with everyone folding. I am basically playing ABC poker. However you do get some very loose players calling an all in with nothing - this is espcially the case with the small stacks. In all honesty I think that the above has just answered by question but I would like to see some others view on things. |

| You are sitting at exactly the wrong table. You want the tables with more people seeing the flop and the bigger pots. This is where you make your money. Continue to play ABC poker. Use your position to contorol the amount of people seeing the flop and the size of the pot!!! |

Playing 10NL you should be buying in with 100BB ($10.00) and have a BR of at least $150-200+. Sound like you? If not, reconsider the stakes you are playing. You cannot be scared of big pots in NLHE - that's what NO LIMIT is all about. Win big - lose big. Your comments sound like a lot of online players. They want to win big, and fast, but do not want to see the shoe on the other foot. Nothing wrong with that, but NLHE players always have to be prepared to weather out the swings and variance. |
