Poker Rule Question. Please Help! Here is the situation. It is heads up. I am the short stack. The flop is K 10 (card that doesnt matter). After i bet the chip leader moves all in and i call. He shows pocket tens. I have K something. The turn doesnt matter, but the river is a king. With 5 people sitting around the table, we all thought I had one with a set of kings. The cards were picked up and we continued playing. After a while won. The next day the other person wants to swap the prizes. The hand was on video. What should I do, and what is the official rule. Please attach links of the rule if possible.

So you all thought the KKKTx (where X is the highest card on the table) beat TTTKK?? A Full House beats trips, so unless the board paired besides the K or your kicker matched a board card, you lost the hand. It always amazes me that people play a game for money without the most basic understanding of the rules.

response My question is not whether he won or not. I know that a full house beats KKK. My question is what happens if no one noticed it, and everyone assumed that my three KKK beat, what he thought was hit TTT. I no its a stupid mistake but it happened. If he gave me his chips and we moved on do i need to give him is money back. He figured out he won the next day after watching a recording of the all in.

It's Rule 15 in the link Jilly posted above that applies: 15. Disputed PotsIt's that simple I guess. Once the new hand has begun (it begins on the first riffle by the dealer for the next hand, but since we're talking about it coming up the next day there's probably no contention on that point) there's nothing you can do about it. Unless you're feeling nice, that is.

Did he throw his cards into the muck b4 you did. If so I think you win the hand. Better check the tape. Not sure what the rule is tho on awarding the wrong hand the chips. Odd that no one would realize he had the FH. (Are you sure your other card didn't pair ? ) Where was this being played ?

re: Poker Rule Question. Please Help! Most card rooms will let the hand stand as you won at the time. Personally, from a karma perspective I would probably give the guy some extra money if it really affected where each of you finished the tournament. But that is on you and certainly not an obligation.

If no one at the table realized the boat and the pot was awarded to you, then as soon as the cards were shuffled the previous hand was done and he can't go back and claim any part of it. Oh and I want in this game if you guys don't see the obvious winner then I want in I'll take down pots with my jackrabbit straights (2 4 6 8 10 btw) |
