| the simple way is the of 4 and 2... basically you take your amount of odds you have and multiply it by 4 on the turn and 2 on the river... so basically say you have 10 K and your opponent has 5 7... flop comes 7 3 A.... your chances are 6X4... 24% on the turn and river... and for the river its 6X2.... 12%.... thats a really simplified way but it gives you a close estimate to your odds... im sure you can find a more detailed analysis or explanation on a site... google rule of 4 and 2.. |

| This outs business is alittle confusing to me. Total number of possible hands made in the end or next card dealt. in the example K-10 flop 7-3-A dont know suit or unsuited? outs on turn pair of kings, pair of tens, pair of 7, pair of 3 ,and pair of A (5outs?) actually 2 outs because if 7 on turn trips, if 3 or A opponent has 2 pair. How does 4-2 rule work if you dont know the outs? |
