Yes, there is a pretty good free hud called Realtime. Its what I use at 10nl, may upgrade when I move up stakes. You can make a donation to the maker...I'd say its worth ~$20 to me, haven't donated that much yet though.

I downloaded a free trial version of poker tracker 3 beta 26.2 this week, and it includes the HUD, but obviously at the end of the free trial I would need to buy Poker Tracker if I wanted to continue using the HUD...

Realtime HUD is awesome! You can have it display pretty much any stat you want! It has some glitches sometimes but overall its a great HUD and its FREE! I've been using it for a couple months now and I love it!

Pardon my ignorance, but what is a HUD? And how does it help you play poker? Thanks for any info you can give.

This is 'Holdem Ranger' isn't it?
How do you go about setting it up?

Yea, was related to holdem ranger, but think thats something different?

I don't recall exactly...just dl'd, opened a table at pokerstars and clicked on a shortcut to realtime I believe (oh had to type in my screenname for pokerstars under preferences). Had to have been simple, because I'm a computer idiot who couldn't get HEM working.

Question for anyone using realtime hud, i'm trying to find the aggression factor stat but they don't seem to have it. They have aggression frequency, and post flop aggression. Aggression frequency comes in a percentage though. Help?

Isn't the aggression factor the same as post flop aggression? Like 3.0 for 3bets or raises per call. The usual aggression factor you see ppl post is just for post flop, I believe, even though I have seen it for overall on old tracking programs.

re: Poker HUDs

Post Flop Aggression=Aggression Factor (I believe) = [(Bets+Raises)/calls]

Aggression Frequancy =/= Post Flop aggression

I am not sure how exactly Agression Frequancy is calculated, as you said it is a percentage, so I don't use it but others like C9 do.

I'm not sure if the Realtime HUD is still available for free. I've visited his site and he says he's now working for HEM, the links are there to download Realtime HUD but they don't work for me. Whether he's been hacked or HEM have nagged him into not giving it away I'm not sure...

I can download the two files, so if downloading the installation program is a problem, it's either been fixed or it's on your end.

He is *not* supporting Realtime HUD anymore, and poker sites change the way the format their hand history on occasion. So any upgrade to a pokersite between when he quit working on it and when you use it could render the program inoperable. So if you install it and it doesn't work I'd assume that the program is incompatable with newer versions of your pokersite software.

When I try to download them it says
Quote:
C:\AoW\EmailIn\Realtime113e.EXE could not be saved, because you cannot change the contents of that folder.

Change the folder properties and try again, or try saving in a different location.
Doesn't matter where I try to save it. I can download other things. Then it saves a file of 0 bytes which I can't delete because it says another program or file is using it. The unlocker program I use can't unlock them, presumably because they're 0 bytes.

Is it a small enough file to be emailed?

VPIP - Voluntarily put money into the pot. This shows you how often a player is in the pot, and therefore, whether the player is loose or tight in a general sense. For full ring a player above 20 would be considered loose, 18-14 fairly tight, and sub-13 tight.

PFR – Pre-Flop Raise Percentage. This is the percentage of the time a player will raise a hand preflop. For full ring play (again general guidelines here) a player with a VPIP above 18 is considered loose, 17-12 fairly tight, and 11-below very tight.

AF – Aggression Factor. This is a formula which shows how aggressive a player can be post-flop. Don't give this number absolute belief, it's more of a guideline stat. Someone with an AF of 5+ is very aggressive, 3-4 solidly aggressive, 2-3 somewhat aggressive, and 2-below fairly passive.

Site Compatibility

I only play at Bodog. Poker tracker says it works with Bodog but you have to download another program to make it work. I don't remember the name of the other program, this was a while ago. I looked at a few other HUD's and they didn't work with Bodog so I gave up. Has anybody used Realtime with Bodog? If so, how easy or hard is it to get up and running?

I don't play there Wolfe but its not listed under site preferences on Realtime. Also as SP noted, the HUD is not getting updated to stay current. I can't get it to work on Ultimatebet...

Yes. PM me your email address and I'll send it.

I'm guessing is that the files are .exe, and your security settings aren't allowing you to download potentially dangerous software.

Thanks for the quick reply. I know Bodog did an update in the last month or so it probably won't work for me.
