pocket queens i hate pocket queens. I just dont think its that good of a hand anymore because if an ace or king comes up on the flop you cant play anymore if the guy bets and you dont have a set. Unless you have a good read you have to assume he has a better hand. How do you play that hand in general?

Most of the time, you'll be up against a lower pair, maybe A + rag. Then you could be up against AK.. you'd be at a coin flip Then you could be up against KK or AA... but, only 2 hands out of a lot could destroy you. So... why risk a flop when some donkey will call your all in with any 2? |

Now why would you want to go all in preflop early. Yes I understand if, and only if, a bunch of donks call, any K or A...and if you're talking donks any 2 live cards can hit 2 pr and crush you unless you hit your set. I have a better Idea, learn how to play, and learn how to actually lay down a hand if you're beat, and dont waste your chips. What if you're not surrounded by donks, with all in you'll either get beat, or win the blinds, which is only good later, when blinds actually amount to something.

I play them slooooowwww.....raise preflop and if a K or A comes up I will make a value bet...if it is callled or raised then I know i am cooked....if everything is lower i will push all in...might it the dreaded 2 pair once in a while but usually the possible beats fold at that point.

pocket queens never work for me..if i get them now i push pre flop..thats the only way it seems to work for me. If i bet high then someone calls with idk king ten suited and they always seem to catch their king..it jus tseems for me the best way is to push pre flop.

re: pocket queens poker Pocket Queens is in the top 2 for my most hated hands! The other is Ace-Queen. It seems whenever I have QQ, someone else always has AA. This isn't just me saying this as my friends have witnessed this countless times! Whenever they're watching me play online and they see QQ, they tell me to fold because I'm up against aces. I try to see a flop with it and play it after that. If you're going all-in with them pre-flop, you're setting yourself up to go bust. Usually if I see all unders on the flop, I'll end up big betting or just pushing. There isn't much else you can do with them.
