Please critique how much I should have bet

I thought about putting in a smaller bet on the river, but I figure if he was on a draw, he wouldn't call any bet anyway. And if he called a pot size bet on the turn, maybe he had something that he'd call an all-in river bet with.

Please give me your opinion on how much should have been bet on each street. Thank you.

well no flush or str8 draw so min . bet might of got u more cash on the river as u saw all he folded . but think the hand was played well. looks like he probably had queens .

He played that like he was on the draw the whole way. You did a nice job of making him pay to see every card. I would have bet the flop a little higher, like .35 or .4. I like the turn bet. The only real difference would be river bet. I would have tried to get 50 more cents out of that guy. The ONLY way he calls your river bet is he has good hand OR he thinks you were bluffing.(unlikely with your turn bet) By going all in on the river AFTER a pot sized bet on the turn, you're saying you have an unbeatable hand. A smaller bet may get a call. Maybe not from a drawing hand, but you'll get looked up enough from people that have top pair, even 2nd pair with a draw that makes it a better play than all in.

This is just my opinion, I will freely admit that I'm not a good cash player. Maybe somebody else will give you better advise.

It certainly looks like he was on a draw maybe even both flush and straight drawing with AJ d. If thats the case evn if you put in a smaller bet on the river to try and induce a reraise or a crying call I doubt it would have worked.

I would say you got the max ypu were going to get from the hand

First, I'd make sure I have the maximum buy-in. Then I'd make it 5bb preflop after the limper. On the flop 2/3-3/4 pot. Probably same on the turn, and then get it in on any river.

Seeing that you only have half a buy-in, the bet sizing was fine. River shove here is the correct play.

I don't like this idea. At uNL, player's #1 mistake is playing pots that are too big for their holding. Our river shove isn't even a half-pot bet at this point, so sticking it in and expecting a worse hand looks us up is best.

If you do want to take this line, I'd prefer a check on the river unless you've seen this player specifically raise what appeared to be a blocker-bet, then show down a hand that was marginal, like a medium one-pair hand.

How about this one? How could I have avoided losing it all? Should I have put in a small reraise to test the BB's hand? I was pretty sure CO was trying to "steal" -- I've played with him before.

(This is why I don't buy in for the maximum amount, I have trouble letting big hands go)

Play ur sets more aggressive and charge limpers more preflop. Buy in max aswell dude. U could b missing extra $$$ if u dont.

I think mase nailed it pretty well. Except that I would say even with the shorter stack larger flop bet, and then because of the larger pot, larger turn bet, leaves you with 1.00 or less to bet the river, he'd almost feel like had to call a busted draw knowing those goons.

On the full stack, this is very true especially as it is here. Shortstacking, while vile, is a statistically based approach to the game with valid reasoning if morals that are questionable to some (hoping that my mini commentary prevents this from becoming THAT debate again tried to service both sides evenly), however your semi-stacking does not lend itself to very good mathematical justification. I understand there may be BRM constraints, but especially in these games where you can buy in deep at every table, go back to 2NL and buy in for 4 and really punish the mistakes of your opponents, then when you come to 5nl do the same rocking a 10 buy in.

if u were playin 100bb i think wot has already been said, bigger bet on flop, other then that it was played out ok, he most likely chasing a draw as was stated already, river i mightnt have got my stack in, maybe value/sucker bet him, in case he had middle pair or something and thought you may have been weak, (if he missed his draw hes gonna be folding to ne bet - if he hit a random set no doubt he would let u know be re raising and not just flatting behind so i think ur good)

2nd hand, i dont really think u did nething wrong imo, i woulve raised the SB up with limpers in the pot, but holding AJ he was gonna call neway no doubt. just 1 of those things, i dont think i wouldve thrown that hand in that situation personally!!

I did buy in at 100BB when I first switched to the 5 cent tables. Lost two buy ins real quick. Played top pair too aggressively. Then got a little gunshot and cut it down to 60BB.

I am back even now and starting to get more comfortable. Will probably go back to $5 if I don't have any more meltdowns in the next few days.

You would think the BB would raise with AJ and four limpers on such a loose table... dat be one o' dem var-ince handz thar. All four jacks in play lol...
