Playing suited cards (bad or good) I read some of the articles and guides that suited connectors are good but what if its just suited cards like for example K5 suited or something like that. Is it good to play or bad ? or does it depends if someone raises or something @.@?

You should be very selective with what suited cards you call with and your position on the table. If you are going to call with suited cards try to call with with ones that have an A or K with them. You want to have the nuts or near nuts flush when you hit. The other option to call with are suited connectors or suited gap connectors. These are good for filling str8s if you miss with the flush. Or if you are really lucky, hitting a str8 flush. I will always limp with suited cards close to the button.

my tournement play stratagy If I'm gonna play with bad cards it is after I have established a presence at the table. You have to remember that you are playing people not just cards. The real objective is too win without showing, I feel I'm only playing good when the hands I win are 70% folded to me on or before the turn. If I dominate with a chip stack of 3 to 1 all other players I always raise every hand the minimum ,to keep the limpers out, no matter what cards I have. This makes for a better table anyway, fold if you don't hit, and watch the action. If you find yourself short alot or don't have any credability at the table's plan on loosing most of the time. If your playing Freerolls alot, never allow limping in, always raise the minimum or three times the BB this will either keep your wasted time down (loose quick) or will establish you as the one that everyone loves to hate. If you do this it allows you to make it your table, I tell them as much and it makes for more exciting play. No 5 to 6 player limpin miricle wins with me playing. I make them beat me I don't let them. So if you want to limpin with unconected suited cards and hit miricle hands on my tables your in for a suprise. empco dont play that game!

I would say if you are a new player to stick to more conventional high ranking hands until you get a feel on how to play suited connectors and such. High Card Low card suited are particularly tough to play and will be horrible to your bankroll (like K5s) because when you flop a K the better kicker will kill you; and when you flop a flush draw you will be drawing as a 2 to 1 dog (meaning u will lose 2 out of every 3 hands where you flop a flush draw) and once in a while the A high flush draw will drain you like a sponge.

I would fold suited cards most of the time. Except when you are in position with many people in the pot, or in the blinds. If you can get in cheap and get a very nice flop then you can slow play your good hand and raise on the turn. 6 handed though i would play more suited connectors than 9 handed.

re: Playing suited cards (bad or good) poker I do not remember winning with any suited connectors in MTT's, because it does not happen that much. I play Ax or Kx suited when the table is tight and/or I am in position to steal or limp in. I only play suited connectors when the blind is near me or on me in late position and I can try to steal with it (i.e. need chips, low on chips) or limp in for a low cost. Take that for what it is, as I am a fish.
