Here is a VERY comprehensive poker library listing: My Poker Library (updated). If you start reading some of those books you'll do nothing but start improving. Once you start reading a few books, you'll hear the same authors names a few times. Start picking up some of the books that you hear over and over. If you plan on staying with SNG's you should definitly pick up "SitnGo Strategy " by Collin Moshman.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but you need to stay away from any tables above $5 buy-in (so .01/.02 or .02/.05) just because the level of skill at .5/1 is soooooo much harder than micro stakes.

Hell I've been playing seriously for close to a year and am only at .1/.25. So take it easy and if you follow bankroll management, you will be fine.

The selection of materials listed seems rather broad. I think you'd be better served to focus your learning on whatever it is you plan to play most right now and in the immediate future. If it's SNGs, there are at least a few books you can look for.

In addition, given you're willing to spend some money, you might also want to consider signing up for an online training site. Again, you should look for one that is a good fit for what you want to learn.

Forget on-line ace read Collin's book instead. I'm thinking little green book and this is all you need for SNGs really. Have'nt read Harrington's cash books but hear good things about them. Also if you really want to learn training sites and coaching may give you a big leap in the learning curve.

I have a feeling Harrington's books might be too advanced for you--also you definitely need to read up on bankroll management. Good luck in the tournament and be sure to study the Little Green Book--its great!
