In general, the big pots will be you coolering someone else, or someone else coolering you. But often, there's not much you can do in those situations. What really adds up are those small pots that consistently make you money over time. I suppose its easier at lower limits just to avoid stacking off light, and get all the others around you who do stack off light to pay you. But as you move up, its a little more difficult than that.

In games like .10/.25 there is alot of loose play happening. If you pick the right tables, then you really shouldn't have any problem getting some action on your big hands. One thing that I've seen people make mistakes in is make sure that you're not just betting pot size every time you have something. The tendency is to think that you're out-thinking the other person by betting big so they will try to call your bluff, but most of the time, it just scares people off so you never get into any really big pots. Give them a little room (especially with quads) and then take down the pot a little later in the hand.

I found it easier to get action at the Pot Limit .10/.25 games at Poker Stars. There's something about pot limit that makes people want to get all their chips in the middle.
