Which one is the best Hand?

Hello Guys!

I was playing poker with a friend yesterday (heads-up) but as we oth are beginners, we didn't know which of these hands was the best.

I had A, 7 off suited

My friend had A, 5 off suited.

Board was: 2, 10, J, Q, K rainbow

Who won?

EXAMPLE Nº 2:

I had J, 5 off suited

My friend had 3, 5 off suited

Board was: Q, 5, 7, 7, A, rainbow

Who won?

Best 5 cards period. Split pot in both examples. Kickers don't play.

Both hands are split pots. It's always the best 5 cards. So in hand 1 that's AKQJT ( a straight) and hand 2 that's 7755A.

O.k, I understand.

So,... let's say I have: Q,K and my friend has 2, 7 and board is: 3, 3, 10, 10, A, ...It's split pot too, right?
