Omaha H/L or Omaha?
In an effort to expand my horizons, I started playing more micro Omaha SnGs and MTTs. I have a general knowledge from years of home game play, but I've done very little research so far. I've done pretty well and have maintained a positive ROI over the course of maybe 30 tourneys or so. I don't have the stats, but it seems that I'm much more comfortable playing Omaha H/L and as a result, I have better finishes. I play tight and picking out the starting hands just seems to come to me more easily. Maybe with such a small sample it's just the way the cards fell. Do you find Omaha H/L and easier game to win than Omaha?

Both have their own range of good starting hands that are quite different. Maybe you do well because of the chopped pot. I haven't played a lot of these type games. I definitely do not buy into them at this point. Maybe your competition is not playing starting hands that have a good shot at high and low and you are.

Hi/Lo is my favorite game... it is the one game that keeps my acct afloat... I'm absolutely positive it is the split pot factor that is so attractive to me. I do well with it.... I wish we had more omaha and mixed game freerolls.... now that would be fun.

If I were you, I would definitely play regular omaha. I have tried playing omaha H/L before, but I have noticed that it is extremely frustrating when you make a very strong hand, only to have it split with the low hand. I guess the main reason I like to play regular omaha is because it is very similar to no-limit holdem, which was the game I grew up playing.

Regular Omaha
I prefer straight Omaha to the hi/lo, nothing frustrates me more than having a chopped pot. Also when in the hi/lo if someone has the low hand locked up they usually raise you forcing you to catch your card for the chopped pot if your on a draw.
