| If you mean that they seem to 3bet you nearly every time you do something like this then you're giving something away, or just making your moves on the wrong player. Look to see how the person you plan on stealing from reacts to it and plan accordingly. Maybe your bet amount changes for steals, or maybe a timing tell. If that just happens sometimes, and you have just noticed that you're not smart enough to fold, STOP IT. Thats really about all you can do. If a play isn't profitable don't make it. If those moderate hands are costing you money on your steal attempts because of bad 3bet calls then stop stealing with that range, or stop making the bad calls. Maybe make yourself lick a 9 volt battery every time you make a call like that to make yourself stop? Remember, just because a play might be good for someone who will play the rest of the hand correctly, doesn't mean it is good for you. Look at your game and see where you profit, and where you don't. Adjust the things you don't profit from by either going to a correct action, or eliminating them. You say you wouldn't do it B&M so you know better, maybe if you enforce some sort of time delay before your action, to slow things to a more real life pace to let your brain have time to intervene you'll have better luck doing what you know you should. |

| You call to quick then it means you have something... Slower normally confused people or your working out something like odds... Just mix it up |

| re: ok here is my problem poker Generally Sharky is dead on, but keep in mind that people are becoming suspicious of LOOOOOOOOOOONG delays, which of course means that eventually a LOOOOOOOOOOONG delay will be the perfect bluff, and then a giveaway again, and so on. The great thing about this game now that everyone is in on it and so many know at least something, is the leveling. As everyone gets wise to a move then countermoves develop. Just look at how its gone with Cbetting being the best thing ever, and now everyone floats, and now people adjust to that, and as something is found to be optimal it will become the standard, and then there will be a response. What all that is trying to say is that the meaning of information changes with the observer. So general guides are snap calls are trying to trap, insta-cbet has a better shot of being a bluff, and so on, but just like live, some people are actors or just that robotic that they don't need the extra few seconds to figure out how to get their value when they really have something. |

In reference to your initial post, where you say you make these calls but don't do so in B & M. This is normal for many players because of the anonymity of online poker >> you don't have to look your opponent's in the eyes after making a donkey move. In this particular hand... so you call... at least you've got position on them for the rest of the hand. As far as why are they re-raising you often? Pretty sure it's not due to them having notes saying "folds often to 3bet from blinds when stealing".. and instead probably says, "will flat a reraise with weak and then isn't particularly tricky in post-flop play and will give it up easily". Obvious solution is to tighten up your range. |

| In my opinion, 7 8 suited should be folded most of the time preflop if there is a raise 2x the bb. What happens to me is the computer takes me out of the game mentally. I zone out and call when i know i shouldn't just to see if i'm right. he lack of the tangible game construes with the fact that this is real money. It helps me to think, "how would i play this if it was brick and mortar?" If you were sitting at a table in real life with 7 8 suited or even Q9 suited would you call a 4x bb raise preflop? If so than your doing the right thing, if you would fold than FOLD |

We all do things continually that we KNOW we should not...discipline may be key here, but I still call, bet, and re-raise too much when I KNOW that I shouldn't... One thing I have learned, but I still fall prey to this sometimes is: If I think they are bluffing, they are not! GL, Wally |

| Apart from calling the re raise maybe you also need to think about why you raising 4BB's with 78 suited. Occassionally maybe to try and steal blinds but surely not as a standard bet. If you are raising like this with these kind of cards it might explain why the others are re raising. |
