Multi table bankroll?

Hi all,

Just a quick question really.... let's say for example that you are sticking to a 5% bankroll management startegy in sng's and you are multi tabling.... does that mean you should play 5% combined with your multi tabling or does it mean that the buy in for each one is allowed to be 5% before you started multi tabling? the thing is if you play 4 tables for example you are risking 20% of your roll......

The reason I ask this is if you think it would be better just playing one table worth 5% of your roll or is it acceptable to risk say 10, 15, 20% with the consideration you have 2, 3 or 4 tables going?

5% or less at each table, of course if you're 24 tabling you'll need more money to sit down. Only reason this could be a problem is if you are liable to go on monster tilt at all of them at once.

id go for about 2-3% per table when multitabling.. unless like D'willus says you are 24 tabling or something extreme like that.

BRM states you should buyin for only 5% of your BR. In theory the number of tables you play has no bearing on this as BRM is a barrier against variance not bad play.

However when multi tabling you may suffer human issues, tilt, tiredness, etc or things like power cuts computer crashes etc, so its better to scale back the 5% when multitabling.

What I usually do is use BRM in terms of budgeting (not taking rake into consideration). For example if you have $100 BR 5% would be $5. So you can play 3 $1 tables and a $2 table --or -- 2 $2 tables and a $1 table --or-- 5 $1 tables.

i've thought about this alot. what i've come up with is to buyin for as many tables i can and it still be less than 20% my BR(maybe 18%). what i also do which is important is set a stop loss figure(SLF) for each session of 15% of my BR and try to pay close attention to it. if multitabling you can excede this STF quick.

you could have 4 tables with 5% each you just have to be careful. The correct answer to this question is that it should have never come up because generally multi tabling reduces the quality of play.

5% at each table, although if you are planning on playing at four tables at once, i would recommend only using 1% of your bankroll
