| MTT ...Going all in with... Ok so happens to me lots and was just wandering if anybody had experience in this area.. I open TT from middle position and get re-raised all-in from the blinds..our stack sizes are about even (25 blinds) ...villian is tight-aggro with stats of around 20/17 ish ...call or not call? what stats should he have in order for me to make a call? or maybe just a squeeze? and something that just most recently happen to me.. I opened in late position with AQo and get a cold caller on the button and a re-raised all in from the big blind..with both avg. stack sizes..the villian had stats of about 25/5 ...I wasnt sure if this was a squeeze play or not but I decided to just fold since the villian only had a 5% preflop raise and for him to be moving all in I thought his range had me beat.. ..thoughts on these? |

| I think in both cases you had someone who didn't want to play out of position. The first hand was probably a big ace and would've been a race, imo. Even aggressive villains get hands sometimes. The second, again, was probably a big ace or TT (lol). Granted, resteals have become more common, but it doesn't sound like you're a major thief. I think the best you could've hoped for barring the unlikely high pocket pairs, was a race in hand one and drawing to maybe 6 outs in hand two. |
