Hi guys.. I got a question and need some input.. I want to start cashing out consistently.. What i want to do is clear 25 dollars profit a day. i play 7 days a week. My bankroll is roughly 50 bucks.. my question is what is gonna b my best route to go... Playing 4 tables micro limit.... 5 dollar sng.s with9 people. Or 5 dollar heads up... Any input or advice is greatly appreciated.. My goal is to cash out monthly 500 bucksThank you..

Where and what you should play to win consistently is primarily a matter of your relative ability level compared to other players, the degree of variance you're willing to accept and what you enjoy. Of these, the most important is probably the first one. With a solid skill advantage, you're winnings will be more consistent since you'll be able to offset at least some of the negative effects of luck.

You'll be broke in a week. Your bankroll just isn't big enough to play high enough to win enough not to go busto.

What i want to know....is this post for real. I hate to sound rude but does anyone with a BR of 50 bucks really expect to make 25 a day? I play micro on my under 100 BR and I dont ever dream of making 25 dollars a day 7 days a week. Although if someone does have a way for this to be done I would sure love to hear it

personally i like $5 heads up my self but i heard from several people to never play more than 5% of your roll at one time. If your roll is around $50 i understand u want to make $5 $10 and $20 at a time instead of a buck hear and a buck there. What i would recommend is playin $2.25 180 person or limits around $2 or $3 multi table sit ngo and u can make some decent cash

BR is too low to expect a 50% ROI "consistently"...you'll be doing great to get a 20% ROI ($10) in that timeframe.

Suggest the $2-6 SnGs with 90-180 persons...focus on getting ITM and then play TIGHT TIGHT until last 4 people.

Build Build and Build your bank roll then start thinking of looking at cashing out and making a profit consistently.

While I do agree that his BR is too low to expect $25 a day, ROI is based on money invested and not how big your BR is. So if he has a 20% ROI it means he would have to play $125 worth of tournaments to profit $25, he doesn't have to have a $125 BR.

So if you are using proper BR management, with an above average ROI like 20%, you would need to play 125 $1 tournaments a day to achieve your $25 a day goal. If you are playing STTs you could get away with playing $2's, but you would still need to play a little over 60/day on average.

Let's say you're a good S&G player and make about an 18% ROI in $5.50, single-table S&G's. That's a $1 profit per game. Each game will run about 90 minutes.

Assuming you start 5 games at once, play them out, then start another 5, etc. That's 7.5 hours of play to make your $25.

Of course, you will have frustrating downswings where you don't cash in more than a dozen S&G's in a row. So if you're only playing with a $50 bankroll and and you hit such a downswing, you are dead meat.

If you want to turn a $50 bankroll into a $25 per day payout, step #1 is to build a bankroll that will sustain you during your downswings.
That is, if you want to play $5 S&G's full time to make $25 per day, play the $2.20 S&G's until you have $200 or so saved up. Then play the $5 S&G's. If your roll dips below $100, drop down to $2.20 games again until you build it back to $200.

Cash out the $175 per week or $350 every-other week or $750 per month. *Or* keep the $ in your account and use it to move up to higher stakes.

I remember the good ole days like it was yesterday. Made my first and only deposit on Full Tilt in July of 07. That lasted a whole 2 weeks.

Without proper br management you won't have a dime in a short time. And even then you still may not with only $50 on. I do know one thing though. Phil Ivey couldn't clear $25 a day with a small br like this. So be patient and play really small and build something solid. A house of cards will soon fall. A solid foundation will last. GL with whatever you decide to do.

There are som viable routes.
But first thing you need to do before you can start cashing out is to build your bankroll. (Given u already have the knowleague).
The reason is that once you reach your goal, there will still be times when you run into a dryspell, a series of suckouts, tilt mode and so on, and you need to have big enough bankroll to work through all that.

It's probably not easy for someone whose roll is only $50 to make $25 a day, but it's also not impossible.

Let's say the person plays $2.20 SNGs, which represents almost 23 buyins, and maintains an ROI of 20%. That's an average profit of 44 cents per tournament, so winning $25 per day takes playing 57.

But that only takes buyins into consideration. What if, for example, the person can average $10 per day from freerolls?

Also, winning $25 per day seven days per week and cashing out $500 per month means the person's roll would grow, which would allow moving up to play higher.

So IMO, a good player would probably have a pretty decent chance to start with $50 and average $25 per day. The real question is how good a shot the original poster has, which would depend on his or her ability level.

It's the "and maintains a 20% ROI" that might be a problem. If the OP can do that, he really doesn't need any help from us. ;-)

From my persepctive, I think you have set your goals way too high. I know winning $ 25.00 a day sounds "sexy" but in this game, unless your a professional, it just does not work that way. When we play, the results, at least for me, seems to go in cycles...win some...loose more....win some of it back.... win a lot back, then loose some more. Just be patient, realistic, and know when your run is done so to speak and get out when your ahead, even if it's less than what your goal was prior to the session.....It is time to leave.....because once the money and bankroll is gone, it's gone.....then the would-a...should-a hind sight come into play and your confidence becomes suspect. Now, you aint got no bankroll and your confidence is gone..When you win big, consider it a blessing and leave well enough alone until your next session.

just doesn't sound possible to me. But hey good luck, it just seems like you'd have to play so many games a day you won't have a life except for looking at the computer screen.

use ur $50, play fullring NL10 with shortstack strategy. buy in only 20BB... build it up to 300, play NL25 with same strategy build up to 1000. n remain at nl25 until u play 100k hands and show profit.. i tink by the time comes, u will be drawing monthly consistent...

I think you might need to re-assess your goals. SP above wrote a very good post for you,.... I'm going to add something a big different.
From reading your post I don't believe you have a solid foundation in poker (if you did you would understand some of the stuff that's been outlined by other's above.. ie. bankroll... size you'll need to support the games you'd need to be playing in order to 'hopefully' be cashing that amount you mentioned.. on a consistent basis).
First off, ~90% of poker players aren't making money. In the online micro levels, those figures will be a bit different ~15-20% are break-even or making a bit of money.
I think the goal for any poker player hoping to make money consistently would be to be perfecting one's game and finding their niche on the tables (ie. if you were experienced you'd know if it was to be playing on 6maxNL tables, or HU sng's, or STT's, MTT's, etc.). This comes with time..... time studying, time playing, time studying some more... time playing some more... etc.
Take the 'time' and the money will take care of itself.

Something else to consider if choosing to multi-table sng's... how many tables can you maximize the amount of money you'll be making per hour... ie if you expect to run at ROI+12% on 2 tables... but only +10% on 3... what is the optimal number of tables to be playing at?? (cuz u will have to multi-table the micro sngs if you hope to have a decent win rate...unless you go on an extreme heater for awhile).

I was checking this guy out last night on the SNG (STT) tables. He was on a few of the same tables I played on so I did a player search and found him 12-tabling the $10 sngs. His ROI was +6% and he'd played 1,045 games, total profit ~$425. So I see the same guy again tonight, I check him again and freaky thing... he's now played 1,325 games (that's 280 games in just 24hrs.!!! Does this guy sleep or what???). He was only up another $70 over those 280games. I think this would be an example of a guy who is playing too many tables.... and am guessing he'd be making more money per hour if he'd start playing on fewer tables.

So have you had anymore thoughts of what your plans will be? Suggestion... post alot on Cardschat, read the threads and win some cash in the freerolls (on a few sites). Then hopefully along with more experience you'll have a bigger bankroll to play with. GL on the tables!
