I played online before, and it seemed like I did so much better with sngs over cash just for the fact that mirco cash games are boring and sngs give a little more excitement to online.

If I can control that boredom, would it be easier to build a bankroll playing sngs, mtt, or cash?

Right now I have about an 800 dollar bank roll, and 100 online. I don't want to put anymore into the online account and hope to build off the 100.

I usually win about 30-40% of the 5-6 dollars single 9 man table tourneys.

It depends whats site your playing really, if you like fun grinding sit n gos is by no means fun it becomes repitive and once you've put in that hard work your onto the next few tables starting the process over again
if your on a site like pokerstars the winning regs are tough and constantly improving and it wont always be easy some tables you will be up against good players and other tables you might get terrible players,
9man you might get away with especially with your bankroll you can start at a higher buy in
anything longer 18/45 bubble is usually tough enough of the time to make it a slow grind for most.

The benifit with cash is table selection, think of yourself as a hunter you seek out the easy money and get yourself out of the slow games or tough ones.

20 buyins for sngs is so short rolled you easily can brick 20 of them in a row i would move down if you dont want to move any more back into the site

and really in true terms if you have $800 in your br, you shouldnt care if you have to redeposit bc the money is already allocated

if you may need the money it is not part of your br

I think 20 buy ins would be alright, and if I were to happen to lose half, id drop down in half...
But we will see what I actually do

thanks

To begin with, figure out what your online BR really is. If you lose your 100, are you willing to deposit some more? If so, your BR isn't really 100. It's actually 100 plus however much more you're willing to use online, with the full BR just not currently in one place.

As for what to play, play whatever you feel like at any given moment. Unless you have solid reasons to believe your long-term win rate will differ significantly, it's inconsequential in the long run whether you make a little more or less per hour in the short term. It could even be argued that you're most likely to maximize your win rate by playing what you enjoy most.

And no matter what you play, start at the lowest stakes and work your way up as appropriate to both your BR and your skill level.

Cash

Playing with a small roll online, I much prefer cash games over SnG and would avoid MTT altogether with only $100.

The cash micro's are easy enough online that you could pump up that $100 with a little discipline and start hitting SnG's.

Don't get me wrong, I love SnGs but with a small initial roll especially if you are playing $.95+.5 (anythiing higher is def taking a shot with that roll) is a looooong slow row.
