Wtf, teach me how to flop quads please.

Don't spend too much time trying to figure out how to play quads. It just doesn't happen that often. The following advice applies to playing most of your big hands, however, so it should help in more spots than just these.

When in doubt, raise it up early and often. There are exceptions, but if you're not sure you've found one, just bet or raise right away. The following conditions must exist to make slowplaying correct.

• Your hand is strong and unlikely to get drawn out on.
• Your opponents are unlikely to have a strong, yet second best hand right now.
• Your opponents have a good chance of improving to a strong enough hand (that you still beat) to put in substantial action on later streets.
• Your opponents are unlikely to play back at you now (by raising as a bluff) if you bet or raise.

On these specific hands:

1. QJ: You should raise the flop. There is a flush draw available, so your hand is still vulnerable. By raising, you trap BB for 2 small bets unless SB 3-bets, which would also be okay. There are many hands that can pay you off on this board. The only argument for just calling is if SB will almost always lead the turn, BB will almost always call, and you can raise then. I still prefer a flop raise, since SB could check turn or BB could fold turn.
2. TT: Definitely raise the flop. There are so many draws that your opponents can hold or put you on. I actually think you're likely to get more action by raising this flop than by taking the super strong line of calling and popping the turn. It looks like you got a lucky "action river" - unless villain had AQ of hearts.
3. Out of the three hands, this is the best candidate for a slowplay. I would often still bet here, just since I'm betting my whole range, pocket pairs will call, and sometimes someone will do something stupid like check/raise me. Still, there's not much anyone can hold right now, so giving them a chance to pick up a straight or flush draw on the turn has some value. The important factors in this hand: 1) You have the nuts and no one is going to outdraw you 2) You have the deck crushed - besides 77, what can anyone else have here? 3) The turn will often give someone a straight or flush draw, or failing that, a pair that they can call down with.

I do not understand limit holdem at all. If someone knows a good book pls tell me.

Flopping quads puts religion in poker. You pray someone will bet at you. You pray hard. YOU PRAY BIG!

From my experience, people will muck against xxy flops if they don't have the 'y' match. If they do they will tend to attack hard, so if you have the 'x' match, you will want to let them have all the rope they need to hang themselves. So I'm split between slow playing all these hands, PRAYING for some action, and betting out on all of them because this is LIMIT, and money making opps are more rare. But in limit games raising can't ever be considered bad (for the most part).

Assuming this goes to showdown as villain has a boat, possibly even 88822 boat; But he may/may not fear you having the 2 for quads.....unknown/unknowable without stats that show he thinks. Also assuming you will raise every opportunity. Villain will have to be concerned about the possible overpair. Which, with this betting give credence to villain having the 88822 boat....

if you bet you look to get up to + 7 possible ways to increase your stack.
