| Taking shots at 50NL is great with hands like this! Villain was an 82/13 mega-fish. Taking shots late on a Saturday night with the drunks is very +EV. What I was most glad about was that, even though I'm still not completely comfortable playing for twice my usual stakes, I was ready to get it all in on this flop with my monster draw. Full Tilt, $0.25/$0.50 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 8 Players Hand History Converter by Stoxpoker MP1: $50 (100 bb) MP2: $21.45 (42.9 bb) Hero (MP3): $50.95 (101.9 bb) CO: $70.80 (141.6 bb) BTN: $8.50 (17 bb) SB: $13.45 (26.9 bb) BB: $33 (66 bb) UTG+2: $48.70 (97.4 bb) Pre-Flop: Hero is MP3 with J UTG+2 raises to $1.50, 2 folds, Hero calls $1.50, 3 folds, BB calls $1 Flop: ($4.75) 9 BB checks, UTG+2 bets $2, Hero raises to $9, BB folds, UTG+2 calls $7 Turn: ($22.75) 8 UTG+2 bets $5, Hero raises to $40.45 and is all-in, UTG+2 calls $33.20 and is all-in River: ($99.15) 7 Results: $99.15 pot ($3 rake) Hero showed J UTG+2 showed J |

| I was looking at my sessions in PT3 this month, and came across something that's ldo. I've played 124 sessions (by time, 2,054 tables, 101K hands) so far in July for a meager 1.1 BB/100 winrate across all stakes and formats (FR, 6max) that I played. 75 of those sessions (31K hands) were 90 minutes or less. Over those sessions, I ran 9.33 BB/100 and have a positive winrate at all stakes and formats that I played. 49 of those sessions (70K hands) were 91 minutes or more (PT3 counts a gap of 15 minutes as a continuation of the same by time session, so an all day session w 15 minute breaks every hour or so shows up as continuous). Over those sessions, I ran -2.40 BB/100 and have a negative winrate at all stakes and formats that I played. Hmmm. Seems to suggest a need to change something about the way I play, but I can't quite put my finger on it... |

| I have exactly the same kind of correlation between sessions and lengths. What I've noted is that the down sessions often start off not going well. Then I focus on not tilting, playing tighter, remembering that variance is a factor, looking for better tables. And then I try to work my way out of it. Meaning longer sessions. But usually they don't come around and I end up losing more yet. Quote:

I have a weird thought process when I lose a stack. If I lose to a reg that I respect, and all the actions Hero and Villain did make sense to me, I shrug it off and don't think twice about it. But if I lose a stack to a fish or donkey (say a 35/12/5), I convince myself that I can win it back from him with interest - ldo, he's a donkey or fish, of course I can beat him (how's that for ego?). I then proceed to tilt a bit, which leads me to press perceived edges too hard, which sometimes leads to losing another stack or two. I see this pattern repeated in several of these longer sessions as well. |

Let's see, I've shoved three full houses into bigger full houses, and no matter how loose and retarded a player seems to be preflop (even utg wtf), if we actually get to showdown, somehow he's made the miracle nuts by the river... Experiment over for now, need to recover my losses, back at 6max . |

| yea its with the family, so it's not like I'm going out at night partying. And it's also a non-commercial island, so really noone my age is here anyhow. Don't get me wrong I really enjoy the beach during the day, just like to dick around on the computer at night |

| Okay so I know I'm not the most consistent poster in this forum, but I remember a few months ago you guys put together a sweat session of all CC members... just wondering if the videos ever got made or there is a way I could get a link to them. Pretty curious to see what happened. |
