Most of y'all are probably still celebrating New Year's (happy new year, BTW!) but January's already started here and I'm sitting down to my first SnGs for the year so figured I'd get the thread started

Goals for January for me:

1 - Play lots, as always. Almost made my 150 goal last month despite work, so let's go for 170.
2 - Keep identifying and fixing leaks in my game
3 - Profit

Y'all know what to do, go go go

Jan Goals:

Play as much as I can
Post 4 hands
Review games in SNGWIZ
Enjoy the SNG League

My Jan goals:

1. Read Secrets of Sit'n'Gos by Phil Shaw
2. Have a profitable month with sng's.
3. Try to play 280 sng's
4. Review all of my coaching sessions (they are recorded for me)
5. Continue with my sng coaching.
6. Play more MTT's.
7. Watch at least 2-4 training videos a week

my Jan goals:

1. To play more SNG's STT's.
2. Not to get sucked out on...
3. play more instead of f-ing off.
4. Do more threads on how i'm playing SNGs at this level.
5. F the Tracking software.

1) To play 125+ SnG's.
2) Once my BR supports it, attempt multi tabling.
3) Re-Read Sit n Go Strategy.
4) Participate more in SnG threads on CC.
5) Continue tracking results and review games played to find leaks in my game.

Ohhh goal setting. Hopefully this will motivate me to achieve them.

January Goals:
1. Platinum Star = 3410 $10 DoNs or 1705 $20s or some combination
2. 10% ROI at the $10s and hopefully move up to the $20s

Jan Goals....

1. Start Spreading my BR daily!

2. Take one day off poker for Study!

3. Start Reviewing Losing hands and games!

4. Once again try and get a HUD!

Yesterday was my study day and I was very proud of myself. I read parts of 2 books and watched a video at Sitngogrinders.

I did allow myself to play some - but only after a sufficient amount of time was spend studying.

I think what will work best for me is to have a small amount of study time each day - and then once a week devote half a day to studying.

January goals :

1. Obviously make some volume : 1500+ SNG would be cool.
2. Make another attempt at PS trying for a change to make profit at 5.5 DON and upper. Achieving at least Silverstar if not Goldstar VIP level.
3. Make SNG Wizard reviews of my play after EACH session (and no more i will group these at the end of the day just to forget these )
4. Watch more consistently SNG videos on Sitngogrinders
5. Try to focus on poker 30 days in the month and to focus on celebrating my birthday the other one (which could potentially avoid me a big hit on the BR if I succeed )
6. (Optionnal goal) Try some SNG steps on several sites to see if I realistically could qualify for French EPT in Deauville. Would do that only if I'm in a good shape on the main goals as it will probably the last one I could have free time to do....

Goals for the month,

Win a Freeroll
Win a League
Play In a high buy-in tournament.

1. grind my BR on pokerstars up to over $30
2. get an ironman medal on fulltilt
3. do some sweats this month
4. 500 games this month
5. try moving up in stakes

Oooof.

SnG wise, I have gotten off to a rough start in the new year. $40 downswing isn't how you'd like to kick off the new decade.

On the plus side, I turned $135 profit in ring games, so I guess I still got the decade started off on the right foot, just not in my primary game selection.

I had a good day today - up about 8 or 9 buy-ins. But it is only day 1 lol.

I managed to earn back 38 or the 40 I had lost, and i'm calling it a night with a $2 loss on the day. I can live with that, considering how the day began. The ring game earnings will wipe away any of the tears that I might shed over my 2 dollar menu cheeseburgers that I lost in SnG's today.

Jan Goals:

• Try and build my BR up to $300
• Stick to solid strategy
• Purchase Colin Moshmans sng strategy book to further improve

I wish every day were this awesome... Definitely ran hot, and I'm guessing even my EV line is probably better than it should be but I'll take it! Good way to start off the year

Very nice day for me too at FT : played 58 7.5 ST 9 man and on these I'm 21 buy-in up (+160$)
Something tells me that will not be like that all month

Thank you. Run good is always nice All 24 tabling $10 DoNs @ 22% ROI. The EV line has some flaws to it (most notably it's inability to calculate multi way all in EVs) and 16% is probably higher than I can sustain.

10% is a pretty solid goal for any serious amount of volume at the 10's.

Shipped teh 25 buy in downswings late last year into early this year and I tilted out of my mind.

I just started playing SNGs regularly at the beginning of December. $2 HU mostly with some others mixed in for fun.

January Goals:

1) Play 100 SNGs
2) Avoid Playing in the HyperTurbo HU when I'm Tilted (as this is the only time I'm dumb enough to think these are profitable)
3) Read Moshman's Book (Thanks Santa Claus!)
4) Participate in this thread (I think that will help me stay focused).
5) Play more of the 8 man Shoot Outs.

PS: 7) OMG Just discovered there's going to be a Cards Chat HU Tourney on the 16th! This should be tons of fun!

Not gonna meet my January goals. Due to medical issues, I am going to have to pull the majority of my BR to pay deductables and medical costs. I'll try to get back into the game through freerolls and cc events, but other than that i'm done for a lil while
