I'm awful at HU

Can anyone point me in the direction of some HU strat? I'd appreciate it.

MTT, SNG, or cash game? Turbo or non-turbo? Stakes?

Currently single table SNG.. between $1-3 turbo or not varies

Or just HU strat in general

Ahh, okay. I asked just to see if you're usually playing heads-up deep stacked or short stacked. If you're playing turbo STT's, you're probably playing pretty short, so you'll be shoving fairly often. Have you seen this page?

I have this linked saved under my favorites on my web browser. Basically, if your opponent is playing optimally, the chart tells you which hands you should be pushing with what stack size. Of course, your opponent will never be playing optimally, so you have to make adjustments. So if your opponent is too tight, then it's gonna be profitable to shove super wide, and vice versa. It's a good starting point to go from though.

Generally, if you're not sure if you should shove or not, the better move is probably to shove, as long as the stacks are short and your opponent is not a complete drooler.

When playing online poker, never auto reraise or auto call, because that is a dead giveaway that you have a big hand. When somebody is trying to steal your blinds, and quickly has a big reraise or pushs all in when your stack is like 1/3 his stack, than the guy's hand is weak.

You could try practicing just heads up at play money tables.

Thanks for asking this Dewmz. I have been meaning to ask the same thing, also for 1$ sng, but not turbo, just regular. So I am deep stack often as well. Or not lol. I am HU often enough, but go out 2nd 2 out of 3 so I am doing something wrong. I will follow this thread, and check out the page cj suggested.
