| Ideal Poker Tracker Stats Does anyone know of any articles etc showing ideal poker tracker stats? things like total aggression, pre flop agression, attempst to steal etc. I remember someone commenting a while ago about someone's win at showdown stat.. saying it was too high and this indicated that the person was folding too many marianal hands. Any ideas / thoughts / pointers? |

| Its really hard to say, as it depends (a lot) on what limits you're playing. Playing loose/aggressive is a lot more profitable at higher limits than it is at lower limits. A couple things I would look for to plug leaks for No Limit: 1) 3-bet %, especially at 6 max, this needs to be at least 4.5% 2) PFR vs. VPIP, your VPIP divided by your PFR should be less than 2, preferably less than 1.5 3) Your aggression factor needs to be above 1.5, if not larger. 4) Call less than 35% of the times that you're 3-bet preflop But a lot of those are just preflop stats. There's a lot of filters & stuff you can run to plug leaks with Poker Tracker/HEM. Looking at how you fair in pots with less than TPTK at showdown is always interesting. Disclaimer: But don't worry so much about stats. You can easily have good stats and be a bad player. Good stats will happen by themselves if you just play well. Focus on the reasons for the actions you're doing at the table. |

| There is no known "solution" to poker, and therefore no one correct style of play. It depends on the situation. A person`s PT stats only give a clue to their preferred style. Of course, that can be of great value in helping to get a read on them. |

| re: Ideal Poker Tracker Stats Quote:
I have a high W$SD (55-60% typically) but my WTSD is pretty standard at ~27. And i run pretty good (8BB/100 @ NL50) and i certainly don't consider this one of the things i have to work on. You'd be better off worrying about plugging more obvious things. Post your stats if you are worrying about plugging leaks. If you are thinking about using W$SD to make reads, i'd be very careful as you need a huge amount of hands for such smaller aspects to be helpful. |

| There are probably ideal long-term percentages if you play the exact same players every time, and nobody (including yourself) ever evolved. Also, those ideal percentages are going to change depending on your pre and post flop skills, your ability to read players, etc. So my ideal stats against one field of players is going to be different than your ideal stats against the same group. So really, any stats you see are going to be ballpark figures. So in general, some stats usually mean that you're bluffed too easily, or not bluffing enough, or whatever. But they all react with each other, and with your competition, and with your strengths and weaknesses. So like Feitr said, worry about fixing your leaks and your stats will evolve closer to what's best for you. |
