| How to deal with PL Omaha Hi After some days that I try omaha, I kinda like, but it happens like yesterday, that its impossible to play. Like yesterday I enter those rooms Pl omaha micro stakes 0,02 / 0,04, and usually its call / raise a bit / fold people. Yesterday it was every hand I had to put down 10 times more then my usual bet. so basically if I wanted to come down, I had to put down from 0,5 to 0,8 instead of 0,10. and After the flop there was already raises of 3-4 even 6, putting me in a situation to use all my whole stake for just see the 4rd card.ì, this every time. When It happen i just flop and wait next, but in this case like every hand there was someone raising so much. Making the game annoying. How to deal with those rooms ? |

| exactly im not english native :-) In fact studyed it few years ago, sorry if I wrote wrong . Thats what I did since it was a hint in many topics, and I got pissed cause hands like AAKJ , premium hands in fact, got beated, and 2-3 times I tryed and those times i lost all my stake cause they reraised badly. Its not about the money, its just that I wanna have fun and learn, but kinda annoying if every hand it become a pot of 6 euro while u used to 0,30 0,40 max :-D u cant do any tactic with its like all in every hand. | re: How to deal with PL Omaha poker PLO is more of a postflop game than NLHE - don't expect pf premium hands to be ahead on the flop, you need to pay alot of attention to how well you're connecting w the flop, what other kinds of hands connect well w the flop, and evaluate whether you're ahead/behind. Don't expect to win pots pf very much - hand values are alot closer than you probably think, so everyone's willing to see the flop w a broad range of hands. Also, don't expect that your 3bet is putting you up against only other premium hands. While you're getting used to the game, sticking w premium hands as c9 says is best, make sure you're connecting with the flop, draw to nut hands, and fold postflop if someone's betting pot into you and you don't have a strong hand (an overpair is not a strong hand). Since everyone has four cards, chances are that someone who is betting hard has the nuts or close to the nuts. If you have the nuts or close to it, bet strongly. |

| thanks for the nice reply. so I come down with premium hand, I just keep follow the raising if Ive : - Ive ace + suited and I miss just 1 card for a flush - Ive a double couple that match with my premium hand, then I raise and hope for a full. - Ive a tris with highest premium hand cards - I miss 1 card for a straight ( if can be a good straight ) I usually fold when I see : - 2 suited cards and I dont have any of it, so flush can beat me easily. - Ive a pair and they start to raise a lot. - Ive nothing but just pair from my premium hand What still giving me problem its giving value to my cards and if Ive a good hand as I said above , till how much I can follow the raise from other people. Cause lot of times I check the raises and then comes out ive not best combo and dont know if stop before river or if continue. |
