| Is this a good line? 30K GTD donkfest I think I played this well, I made (What I thought was a Great Read)... About this Player, I've only been at the table for about 20 odd hands, but in that time, he's been opening Alot in later positions...And C-Betting Most flops...So I myself thought this Flop can't help his hand.... So what do you all think? What types of hands could he have? What type of hand does he call us with? Was my play good/Bad If your all wondering why I didn't shove the Flop, I thought it would be to obvious what I held on that type of a board and that Shoving would make it more Less Likely that I hit and that I would get called, So I figured the turn is the Right Spot to make that move on....Thoughts on this also Needed View hand 1372835 DeucesCracked Poker Videos Hand History Converter Hero (BB): t8900 44.50 BBs UTG: t5495 27.48 BBs UTG+1: t7290 36.45 BBs UTG+2: t13497 67.48 BBs MP1: t7512 37.56 BBs MP2: t5130 25.65 BBs CO: t10355 51.77 BBs BTN: t9634 48.17 BBs SB: t12575 62.88 BBs Pre Flop: (t300) Hero is BB with 7 ♥ 6 ♥ 4 folds, MP2 raises to t600, 3 folds, Hero calls t400 Flop: (t1300) 4 ♦ 8 ♥ 3 ♥ (2 players) Hero checks, MP2 bets t600, Hero calls t600 Turn: (t2500) 8 ♠ (2 players) Hero checks, MP2 bets t1400, Hero raises to t7700 all in, MP2 calls t2530 all in |

| I think you should had just call on the turn. Shoving on the flop was an ideea but i do not think flipping is a good ideea when you have almost 30BBs. If he has something and probabely has at least an overcard and maybe a pair because he shot the seccond barrel, he is far ahead of you here. And after his raise on the turn he is pott comitted and probabely call. Here is even call or fold. I hope my judgement was good Last edited by swingro : 16th July 2011 at 10:14 PM. |

Nah your right my only Regret/Donk play was Letting him Commit himself and then making that move...I mean I could have shoved the Flop but then I really had no clue where in the Hand I stood Exactly...I also knew that this Player was capable of just firing with air, and making the same play with the nuts... Yes your Judgement is correct also |

| If a heart or a 5 falls on the river, your a hero, if not, your a fool. Not a situation I like much..... at all really. Your only justification here is that you have your villain covered, and will be able to recover when his KJo wins via high card. Or to even rub it in a little more, his T9h wins via high card. Even knowing you are fairly agro I don't like this, yet I also know you do like this situation. Unfortunately, you met your match, villain in a lot (what is 'a lot'?) could mean so many things, including he is as agro as you. IMHO, you should have folded PF. Its a tourney, and stack preservation is the number 1 method of stack increasing. Why did you give him a chance on the flop...??? Where is your bet? Obviously his range is large, according to your "a lot" description, followed by your c-bet description. You are OOP, against a (semi) maniac. Why? Last edited by dj11 : 17th July 2011 at 1:27 AM. |

To answer you next question about the Reason I played the Flop the way I had chosen to play it, I really thought by RR shoving on that flop that it was a dead Give away as to what my hand range really consisted of and So there-fore I thought it was better to proceed in this manner...Looking back at the hand, the only real issue I would say I have is that I let him pot commit himself rather then put him to the Decision... I could be mistaken though also on it, but I think that's one of the Factors that helped make this an Easier call for him...Yet again I don't know that's why I'm asking the questions |

| re: Is this a good line? 30K GTD donkfest poker I would have just called the turn. He was giving you the correct pot odds to call. I might have bet the turn instead of checking becuase he might have give you credit for having tripps with 2 hearts on the board. Not alot of people would check tripps with a flush draw on the board. |
