FREEROLLS WINNING

How often do any of you win freerolls. What have you found to be a good strategy.

I try and approach it like this. Begging stages I wait until I got a Medium-High Pair then I go allin.

Once I have done this a few times I seem to pick up enough chips to see a lot of hands in the medium stages and from there I seem to be able to catch a lot of people off guard.

Its the latter stages I fall foul once the blinds get big.

I need help with surving this end stage of freerolls. Can anyone help?

I'm not a big fan of freerolls. Too often it is a lot of time invested for little to no return. I got fairly deep into a large Poker Stars freeroll last year and made 18 pennies for my troubles. To be honest I'm likely to shove in medium pockets like you mentioned, AK, AQ maybe even AJ suited and try to double or better a few times and if that fails no real time or money lost. Move on and go back to your regular poker playing or the next freeroll.

I'm guessing you're playing far fewer hands when the blinds get big, waiting for nothing but the best, because you don't want to "waste" any chips. If so, you need to be a LITTLE more aggressive. Don't just sit back and watch your stack dwindle slowly but surely. (To be honest, I've been guilty of that once or twice myself.) Otherwise you'll just end up on the bubble with no chips remaining, and one "hail Mary" all-in left before you're blinded out.

i hardly ever win any freerolls because it is so hard to do, they are donkfests usually 100% of the time but the strategy i have come up with is to be very tight at the start and when the blinds get bigger start moving your stack about.

i play some freerolls as it were a regular tournament, or maybe a little more thight agressive
i dont steal blinds in turbos until its absolutely necessary

bust donks with your monsters, they are more likely to call everything at first stages

Change nothing. All-in with the monster in any situation and any pair against short stacks
