in freerools you tend to find that at the start of the tournament you get alot of poeple going all in's even with bad hand,as I have found out plenty of times myself and have been beaten because of this. I tend to sit back at the start and try and relax and just let them get on with it and it tends to clam down after a while.
Mid comp there tends to be alot of bluffing but the playing seems to be alot more tighter.
toward the end mostly tight play and becomes alot more enjoyable.
Won a few freerolls myself now and enjoy mid to end of the comp.
Just try and ride the storm at the start
Hope this is helpfull
good luck!

This is all good stuff. Only think I would add is learn who is sitting out (a lot of people will sign up then not play) at your table, and exploit their blinds before the other live players figure it out. Nothing more frustrating than watching a live player fold his SB to the absent BB 12 times in a row.

I agree.

You have to watch and learn to feel the table.
Find the spots that you can exploit.
Push when needed.
Fold when you must.

Good Luck

Sit out the first 15 hands and you'll outlast half the field.

play tight at first, there are so many players who are just shoving with bad hands. you can open up later as you get closer down to the final table as a lot of freeroll players are inexperienced and just looking for to start a bankroll... you can get them to fold to you a lot

depend of freeroll...if are a lot of players then,i recomand you to play at begin only strong hands, cuz you will find someone to put you allin and you can double..after you double your stack you can play your own game, without any stres.

Try doing freerolls when not so many folks are in the tournament. Find the private freeroll tounaments, like Cardschat. Less people, better players. Plus we know this is a long haul game...be patient, tighten up the hands you play. We have all been there. Good luck

I would have to agree with pretty much everything they have said. In freerolls at the beginning you will see all in's with any 2 cards. I believe a lot of people either want to double up quick or go out and cause its free they don't care they aren't losing anything.

But you can't expect to cash at a very high rate in freerolls. Just the fact that it is free makes you have to dodge so much more crap and see people call you with junk. I find being really tight at the beginning to be the best. Even if you have AK first hand in the freeroll you might not want to be calling the crazy allins. It is easier to play in a freeroll if you double up quick though, just don't be pissed when the guy who pushed shows 27os, hits and kicks you out first hand, it is only a freeroll ;p
