Folding Pocket Queens Hello. I'm new to this site. Had a situation in a live tournament recently. I had made the final table. The chip leader (seated to my right) had about 40% of the chips in play. I was in the big blind ($1,600) with $50 ante. chip leader out-chipped me about 3.1. There were 2 limpers, a few folds, and the chip leader pushed all in. I couldn't understand why he did that. My pocket queens didn't seem as strong to me. I folded. Should I have called. Thanks for your input.

re: Folding Pocket Queens poker Doesn't tell us what the big-chip table image was up to that point but I'd have to guess that it was 50/50 steal attempt v. good hand. With at least 8 left, paying top 5, I would also have folded. I think you'll find a lot of replies who say you came to win... call the all-in. A lot of hands beat QQ and don't think I would put my tourney life on the line at that point, 3 off the money. Coming off the BB, not short-stacked, I would wait for a better shot than busting out pf on the ladies. They look cute, but they aren't that powerful.

Might have been AQ, 99 type of hand. Big stacks like to shove ppl around. I don't think he shoves all in with KK or AA there with 2 limpers ahead of him. But I would probably have folded there too, because with more action behind you, QQ is kind of shaky since you don't know how many will call behind you, and if an ace or K hits, you're likely dead. If it was just gonna be heads up for sure, I call.

fold bluskies right fold and live another hand. right hes shoveing people round with the big stack ,but nobody shoves there stack of k100 with nothing ,if he had low pocket pair he would just check or small raise.A K OR AQ THE SAME . so my feeling is he had KKorAA. so if you had called u would have been up against the KINGS or ACES for sure........joker131

He could have had something like AJ+ easily imo, he didnt just raise, he shoved. Unless the limpers were really short stacked, they most likely would have folded. Was it still a good fold? Yes, he could have had AA or KK, but I feel there was a good chance that he didn't. No one shoves with AA preflop against limpers when they're the bigstack on the final table, its stupid. You don't want to steal with AA (its not a steal obviously you have the best hand at the moment) you want to extract maximum value. If your aces get cracked you still have chips to play with. He would have to be a donk imo. Either someone limped shortstacked or he's an idiot. Still a good fold if you just wanna cash and think you can wait for another spot.
