Favorite Poker Books
Just wondering what everyone's favorite poker book is. I have read quite a few and have been playing for a long time, but you could always learn more by reading another book. My personal favorite used to be Super/System, but now I think the Harrington on Hold'em series is the top, both Tournament and Cash Game.

I was looking at that one at the bookstore the other day, but I ended up buying Gus Hansen's new book "Every Hand Revealed" which is pretty good. I have not read any of Phil's books yet. Actually the whole reason I went to the bookstore was because I was watching the '89 WSOP when Hellmuth beat Johnny Chan to win and it mentioned in the commentary that Phil was a children's book writer, so I wanted to see if I could find anything, but I didn't. Couldn't even find anything on Amazon, but oh well, kind of interesting though.

I've read a few poker books Caro's Poker Tells, Caro's Most Profitable Hold'em Advice, Some of Hellmuths book Play Poker Like The Pro's. I Also just bought Caro's Secrets of Winning Poker, Joe Navarro's Read Em And Reap, Negreanu's Power Hold'em Strategy, and the one I'm starting out the block with Gus Hansens Every Hand Revealed. I believe I've learned alot from the ones I've read and my game is getting increasingly better. I'm kinda anxious to get to Negreanus book which I will read as soon as I finish Gus's, which by the way is GREAT. It usually takes me along time to read books but I'm halfway through it after like 2 days. It is a little short but for me thats still good. I guess If you love the subject, it's always easy to read though.

I like Doyles books because they cover everything. The only thing that I don't like is that it seems in his books that he just "pushes all of his chips in" like 90% of the time. I swear he says that probably 150 times in his chapters. That is the only thing that I do not like about the Super/System books, other than that, you're right, they are the Bibles of Poker.
