When i first started playing online poker i saw a lot of the players were horrible and as i kept playing i realized i was one of those players lol. Has anyone else ever came to this realization and what were the first steps you made to improving your game?

Starting from the moment I did not tell more on luck to win hands. When I started to learn how to better select my hand in hand and play position. Balancing my chips and use them better in the felts with c-bet bet Raisse

For me, my biggest challenge is maintaining patience. Recent epiphany is that when I play tired, I lose patience much quicker.

I think a better place to play. He started playing 14 months ago. He became increasingly cashed in tournaments. Calmly refer to the move, not like before, psyched.

Yup! Been there.

Though my realization was about online poker, not poker in general. I lacked a lot of skills needed in online games.

I started by going back to the basics, poker maths, game play, theories in general; to see if I miss something that I might have skipped during my early poker days. I'm still on it.

That being said, I would recommend you to make a habit of analyzing your game once a week and check where your game lacks lustre.

Olegan, what does your post mean ??? Did you really say anything there ? Could you please explain ?

That I myself wrote. Sorry, wrong, I write through an interpreter.
On the question of the ASO, all in different ways comes the awareness and skill. I have, after years of playing almost every other day.

I can relate. I was always the best at the home games with friends,co-workers, and family. I remember the first time I played at the casino, and lost my roll in under an hour lol. Then when I started to play online, and the same thing happened. I didn't realize that I knew absolutely nothing about poker. So I took the time to learn and develop my game. I still try to learn something new about this game I love, up to now.

My most recent was finding out my endurance in maintaining good play is limited to about 3 hours. I'm a bubble disaster.

My epiphany was realizing that I was a good poker player ONLY because I played with many bad players (i.e. friendly basement game). Once I realized that there were many MUCH better players, I started looking for weaker players and this helped because I could try to avoid the sharks and try to play mostly with fishes.

YES!!!! I think back to some of the freerolls I used to win on FTP. The way I used to jam with 8's from middle position after a raise. I played craps with my cards for a long time before I realized some were betting at loading the dice! As I have moved forward I went down in range and thought everything but AA sucked. After that I tried playing too many hands (calling) because of position. Now I'm in a happy place. Now, my nerves are strung out before and for two hours after any session/tourney lasting 6 hours or more. Ahhhh, so relaxing this game of poker! Honestly, find YOUR sweet spot! Find what makes YOU better. Then start to find out what makes the others bad (just knowing they are bad isn't enough) and exploit them in front or behind with position.

Keep hitting those felts! They speak after enough torture!
