Crushing 10NL? VERY Small sample size.

FOREWORD: This thread is in NO WAY meant to be a brag thread. I am asking for honest advice from the people of this awesome community, and those who play much higher stakes than myself!

Anyways, so I have been running horrible in tournaments and SNGs lately (whole different thread lol) and decided to play some cash games since I never really played them before except for live. I have fallen in LOVE with cash games and am seriously considering making them my primary game.

So what I am wondering is what BB/100 is needed to be considered "crushing" at micro stakes? Also, what is a realistic expectation? I thought I saw a thread similar a few weeks ago but the search feature offered me zero help

Currently at 10NL, I am running at 12.09 BB/100 with 2k hands played. This is a VERY small sample size I know, but am just wondering if I am wasting my time at 10NL and should move up to 25NL, or if more hands are needed to make a proper call on that.

Right now, I am only running 4 tables at once, and just recently switched to the "fast" tables since I am seeing way more hands per hour. I am probably going to add more tables soon. Also, I am running at 15/6 (odd?) according to PT3 if this helps.

I'd get 30k hands in at 10NL, then further evaluate.

15/6 is pretty odd. I'd say you need to stop limping as much and raise more PF.

I ran 13+BB over a similar sample size, which represented about 2 days of play. Day 3 adjusted that down to 8, then 6 as a series of bad cards came my way. 1,000 hands doesn't really mean that much.

Isn't this really a BR question, though? Are you rolled for higher? Then play higher. If you start losing, retreat to 10nl and try to figure out why you were losing.

I don't agree with the 30,000 hands, though, just for the sake of practicality. Sure, if your goal is to know if you're a long term winner at 10nl, ok. I assume (like me) your long term goal is to make money. I'd move up as soon as the BR allows. If I can win at 25, 50, or 100, I'm not so concerned whether my 10nl sample is big enough to be conclusive on my win rate.

imo i think 30 hand sample is good espically if ur new to poker or cash game scence. You can run bad for 20k+ hands easily u can also go on a heater for 20k+ hands easily, but if you think your going ok and your rolled give it a shot, play 20-17BI rule take a shot and see how you go!
Not sure what you playing but 15/6 is oookkkaaayyy i guess if ur playing FR, ur VPIP will always be higher then ur PFR in FR because your limping more pocket pairs, suited connectors ect, i mean your only playing 4 tables so u can focus alot more on wots goin on probably gettin involved with more hands. also when you add tables your bb/100 should technically drop unless your running like god. If your playing 6 max on the other hand, those stats arent that great, i normally run around 24/22 - 19/19 around, so u would def need to stop limping so much behind and raise alot more in position.

id shoot for even more than 30K hands to really evaluate how your running.

also i think 3BB/100 is good? (i believe) so 5BB/100+ would be crushing it? again i believe..not positive

I think that at 10nl, 3BB/100 is ok/perfectly satisfactory, 5 is good, 7+ is crushing.

One thing to think about - the rake at 10nl is a killer, so it's a little hard to come up w how good your game is. My winrate jumped when I went from 10nl to 25nl partly because the rake is a smaller percentage of the pot (and partly cuz I got better).

Because of the rake, I'd be inclined to start taking shots at 25nl sooner than later IF YOUR BR CAN HANDLE IT and IF YOU FEEL SELF-CONFIDENT ENOUGH TO DROP BACK TO 10NL IF YOU RUN BAD. I'd still wait for a bigger sample at 10nl, but would actually start taking shots after 10k hands (see caveats above) w a good winrate at that point (~5+).
