I already had the idea that this is meaningless. Sorry to waste your time. |

| Come back with at least 10k hands, 20-25k would be better. From this sample, you can't really draw any conclusions about your winrate, your aggression tendencies, etc. 300 hands is not even an entire session for most people. Also, cap games are pretty awful. |

In order to get any meaningful advice, you'll have to post something that looks like this: Absolute Poker $2.00/$4.00 Limit Hold'em - 6 players The Official DeucesCracked.com Hand History Converter Pre Flop: (1.5 SB) Hero is MP with J K![]() 1 fold, Hero raises, 1 fold, BTN calls, SB calls, 1 fold Flop: (7 SB) 9 5 Q (3 players)SB checks, Hero bets, BTN calls, SB calls Turn: (5 BB) J (3 players)SB checks, Hero bets, BTN calls, SB folds River: (7 BB) 2 (2 players)Hero checks, BTN bets, Hero calls Hand history analysis allows people who post here to analyze what you do and your thought process in specific situations. There's a reason we have two whole forums devoted to it. Its how you get better. And its way quicker feedback than playing 10K hands and then looking at some still fairly meaningless stats. |

| ^^ You are rarely making a mistake if you can get AAxx all-in pre-flop in Omaha. The thing though is that 3-betting usually gives your hand away. So you can't just raise left and right, because then people will know exactly what you have and know exactly how to play against you. Again, cap games really stink, and really defeats the point of pot limit games. |

| I agree, the fact that he's playing cap does make it easier to play AAxx, since the standard play is to get it AIPF. I meant that as more of an aside. What I was trying to say is that generally it's silly to play with a cap in a game that favors position, unless I'm incorrect in saying that. |

Its true, that there are bigger edges to be had on the turn & river. But if you lack the skills to exploit them, or your competition is even worse in short stacked situations, why is playing cap PLO a bad thing? Villain in this hand stacked 4d Qc Jh 6d with no fold equity, its obviously a pretty juicy game. The "good players" are always averse to playing capped or limit games, citing that there's bigger edges in the big bet games. However, maybe that's why, in my experience, they're so profitable... I'd never chastise someone for playing a game they're good at and that they find profitable. I'm not trying to turn this into a cap vs. no cap thread, but to say the game itself is silly warrants a response. |
