| Can't $3 SNG Hey everyone, so I've been playing poker seriously for about a year, took a break, than came back about a month ago. I deposited $100 to Pokerstars and have sticked within my Bankroll and played only $3 sng. I understand that there are a lot of fish at these levels, so I don't try to "outplay them" so to say because I know that a lot of the tricks don't work against worse players, as they will simply call good bluffs or chase down to the river, after all it is only three bucks. I have gone up to $180 and back down to $100 during my "carreer." Right now I am sitting at $130. My problem is, I have spent hours, days worth of hours reading and practicing strategy, I made $70 dollars in a day playing super tight, doubling up in the early rounds, and outplaying other players in the bubble. However, sticking to that strategy I have gotten back down to my current BR because I can't get AA, KK, AK early every game. I have also tried small balling to an extent, limping with those suited connectors and pairs, but the majority of the time that just hinders my stack. So, any tips on how to start beating these on a consistent basis? I have read and read and read till I had to pass out for weeks, and tried countless strategies, but none seem to be consistent at low stakes. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

| re: Can't $3 SNG poker If your playing the 3.40 turbos, your welcome to sweat me while i play. I probably won't be much help if your just playing the non turbos, which is what i guess you are playing. Just from the sounds of it, it's probably your mid and late game that needs the most work, during the mid game we want to actually start stealing the blinds, then late it's usually dictated by stack sizes, ICM, and equities. |

| Yeah thats exactly it, my mid game isn't great . Late game is pretty solid, usually when I get ITM I'm confident in winning it all. What specifically should I be doing MID game? Only stealing from button, playing looser? I usually just wait till I'm a little over 10x BB to start shove stealing blinds, and I feel like its bad playing decent cards post flop not going all in because I have little room to play with, so I'm folding to any decent sized bet. |

well like wizz said start stealing the blinds during mid-blind play but for god sakes dont only steal from the button as that is far to easy to read. Also be looking to re-steal. Beware though stealing and re-stealing is an art form. You have to steal from the right people in the right situations. Stack sizes are quite important. |

| Bought the book suggested, and I knew a lot of the stuff already (1/3 done with it), but i feel a lot more confident now, and in those sitiuations where i was unsure what to do its an easy move now. I appreciate the help guys! (Not really relevant but I won the first and only SNG i played after reading that first part XD) |

OP with this post move some of your stealing to the SB and CO, i had to do this when i started getting into it more on pokerstars with DoN's and SNGs. |

| There were a few threads (two I think) on stealing a few months ago that several members CC regs contributed some good tips. Might want to do a search and give it a read. In SnG's, espcially towards the middle/late stages of an SnG, stealing is your bread and butter. |

Found a couple of huge leaks, over playing SBs and calling all-ins with less than two pair, blocked these and starting to cash MTTs. |
