Building a BR from low deposit? Hey!Since I'm still new here (to the site not to poker lol) I wanted to see if you find it possible to effectively build a bankroll out of 50$ only seeing as I can't deposit more than that right now. I am aware of the BR rules and management (enter with 5% to 10% of your payroll max etc...) but I wanted to see which course of action is the most likely to save time and accelerate the rise. Should I play more in cash games and then multitable them?Or should I focus more on MTTs and SNGs?What about the new rush poker system? I know that building a BR takes time but I just wanted to see what, in your opinion, is the best way to build such a small BR...

Micro cash games are generally your best bet with a limited amount of money as your hourly rate is generally going to be higher and your variance lower than SnG or MTT's. Start playing 2NL tables, and gradually move up the limits as your skill level and bankroll increase. Be patient, and don't get discouraged if you don't get instant results. Just constantly work on improving and the money will come. |

Sure you can. I am in the process of starting cash games after some months of freerolls and sit n goes. I just played a hand in 2NL where me and my opponent split an all in pot with the same Ace high straight on a T-K-J-K-Q board. But I lost $0.13 that hand! Why? RAKE. Its clear to me that even at 2NL rakeback can be important to boost your profits. Time to deposit on a rakeback site me thinks.

You can't build it up easily without rakeback. Find a good rakeback offer and give it a try... I've built up to $300 from $20 on full tilt and numerous times over $100 on pokerstars from just $10, but I have tilt issues and sometimes I play very drunk... I started from $7 last week (which I got from rakeback) and I am playing 2NL again to build some online bankroll and now I am at $62. Looking forward to get my next rakeback payment on Friday and win some more to move to the 2/5c tables.

re: Building a BR from low deposit? poker It definitely is possible. I withdrew all my deposits in 2008 and just played freerolls and currently have a few hundred dollars and a couple of accounts. I lent a friend 5$ and he has been able to get it up to 80 playing casually. Neither of us are pros but just patient and not spending beyond our means or ability. Good luck.
