blinds are killing so shove ep with paint?

so here it is playing in a £100 live comp' last night and after 110 entries there are 28 players left including me. The blinds are 2-4000 with a 300 ante I've just done a shove without a call in utg+1 with 30000 and got no callers so my stack goes up to 38000.
I am now utg and get KJo and decide to shove: the reasons are 1.I might get through again and pick up nearly 10000 in blinds and antes. 2. my m is around 4-5 so not long to go. 3.If I get a caller I'll probably be a 40-45% underdog but may double up. 4. This hand is unlikely to be dominated if someone calls with an ace. 5. I'm in the blinds next so with the antes as well within two hands if I do not get anything then I'm looking at a ten thousand loss to my stack. 6. I'm in shove or fold situ' and I think this maybe the best I'm going to get. 7. Harrington advocates shoving with this with this chip stack/m level.

Probably do this much sooner, before you get so short.

After shoving twice in a row, players will get suspicious pretty easily.

You will be easily called if u stack shoves, also KJ is an easy-dominated hand, i agree with the point that you should have shoved before.

Anyway I would have shoved in that situation, its is worse to be eaten by blinds.

whas this a full ring? If it is 6 handed I think a shove would be the rite move. If it was full ring I think should have folded. I would rather wait and shove from sb or latepositon with ATC then risk it with kj from ep.

Nothing wrong with the first shove but the second one was a little risky, but in saying that, players would of been tightening up at this stage of the tournament. You could get lucky and no one calls, or someone has a big hand and your totally dominated if they decide to call.

If he shoved from UTG it must be Full Ring OMG man. Pls read the entire post before replaying.

What? UTG is just the first person to act after the blinds. You can be UTG 4 handed...

It was a tourney, ring games never introduce rising blinds and ante's.

I got called by AQ and did'nt hit so went out I know it was risky but I was going to be eaten up by the blinds so had to go for it and who knows there is not a good hand out every time at the table. I'm only getting called by pp10 and above and AQ-AK. If I had of doubled up I would'nt have been writing this post.

Yep my mistake I forgot to put there the UTG+1 position to be clear

I'll fold KJo everyday, even if I have only 2 blinds left, I prefer shoving with more random hands which are rarely dominated like J2, 93, T4...etc

He was talking about 9 person or 6 person . But this was not his problem.

*Assuming everyone has you covered by ~2x, with one person radomly having less chips & another with approx. the same, with 9bb's UTG you can be shoving with ~top 17%

Some may suggest that multiple shoves will be more likely looked up by other players but imo, if someone's shoving for 2nd/3rd time in succession (or close to it) they've typically got a big hand (in tourney). It's kinda weird/odd that most would assume otherwise (but they do).

OP, it might help a bit to post other stack sizes, table image, etc.

I will start off by saying that I think your shove here is OK for the reasons given in OP.

I would add, though, that you may be better off waiting until you're in the blinds or in late position before making such a move. There is something to be said for giving at least one other player an opportunity to put more money in the pot before you pull the trigger. Additionally, some of your opponents will realize that short stacks often shove with a wider range from UTG because they fear hitting the big blind on the next hand. This increases the likelihood that you will be looked up when you push from UTG.

93 is never ahead, KJ is often ahead when you shove 2bb. Folding KJo here with 2bb would be silly.

I still believe the shove was ok for the reasons stated and thanks for backing me up you two. At that stage of a tourney you have to make some moves and hope for the best. I'd just lost a 60-40 before that which would have made all the difference but even against AQ I'm not dead and buried it's prob' 55-45 and with just an m of 4-5 i'll take that anyday. cheers mates

this basically....u COULD win if everyone folds around, but if anyone does call then you're going to be dominated with that hand...nobody is calling with a worse hand, and you're just hoping to pick up enough chips to get thru the blinds coming to u...i would have folded in that position, but if u were LP then its an obvious shove...but from ep idk its really hard

There are many hands that would call here where HERO woound't be dominated, ie. 60/40's (AT, AQ), & is flipping w pr's <JJ
