| Best way to play/adjust on this tournament structure Hello guys, it's been awhile since my last post. I've been playing some freerolls on a local casino and i've been wondering what would be the best approach to win them all playing solid poker. I'm not having trouble to reach the final table, actually I've won six first places and 4 second places. They only pay the first three places. 3 tables, 9-max. My problem is that they have a weird Tourny structure and blinds go up like crazy. You start with T5000, blinds start at 100/200, then 200/400, 300/600 etc, etc. and go up every 7 minutes!. You can choose to buy an extra T3500 at the very beggining and also if you manage your way to the break (that is at blinds 800/1600 I believe) you can buy an add-on of T10k!. Trust me I've been on the final table with a "healthy stack" of 40k or more. but blinds go up so quicky by the time we hit the final table it's always 5k/10k. It's basically flip-coins all the way. I know it's a freeroll, but I'd like to discuss what would be the best strategy to win them. Thank you in advance |
