Best Poker Training Site Which do you think is the best training site? Cardrunners, Pokersavvy, Deucescracked, Drag The Bar or something else. I have not used any before and am going to give one a try.

i know that CC is associated with Drag the bar but IMHO opinion, tournament poker edge is the best option for a tournament player. Cheap, $23/month for the first month and discounts on longer subscriptions. And also focused just on tournaments which means there is some great content on there. TPE is useless for cash games obv

re: Best Poker Training Site I agree with both of the above. DragtheBar is my favorite and the only one I am a member of right now. I was a member at TPE for a few months and they do have some great tournament coaches and videos there.

It depends on what you're playing. What are you looking for from the training site? (some are geared towards MTT play, others cash tables, others mainly SNG... some more for higher stakes.. & some for micro & lower stakes). Perhaps get a bit more specific here for a better response.

CR's content has got so varied that the content for any individual game frmat is very limited. DTB has some good videos but its still in its infancy, ultimatlely there still isnt all that much on there. |

re: Best Poker Training Site You need to know what is your best game first. Worked mine out found a site to suit and so far so good I'm beginning to win more often, but it is early days. One thing I've learnt big pockets can cause big swings and losses and it is a carefully played draw hand, which you can escape from early that makes the profits.

Another factor you may want to consider is that not all instructors are equal in terms of how well you relate to what they are discussing. And that can include a personal quotient. In my case, there are certain ones out there that express themselves in ways seem to get through to me particularly well. But the opposite can be true for the same instructor and other players. Which suggests it can be a good idea to check out free trials and sample videos.

I have a membership at pokerzion.com that I think is excellent. They do it a little different there by offering 6 month NL holdem training courses where you get a lesson delivered every week to your email plus a bunch of other videos on their site. They have one for micros and one for small to mid stakes. I am in the micro course and think the content is great so far. You can also post in their forums and earn points that you can use toward coaching. All the coaches are winning players too, which you can't say about some of the larger sites.

re: Best Poker Training Site I love Deuces Cracked. The price is very reasonable, you can download the videos, and the coaches are very active in the forums. The videos that I have benefited most from are the ones done by Baluga Whale. He has a real gift for teaching. His "Coaching Kristy" series is brilliant.

Im currently a member of PokerVT Daneil Negreanus training site. Has good information and tips also TONS of videos which are cool to watch. One shows Negreanu going broke in a micro cash game lol. See happens to even the best lol. Unfortunately tho Negreanus small ball style is more geared for deep stack tournaments which isnt really applicable for most of us. the site is also unclear a lot of the time on what type of game thier talking about. the site does have good tips and also a good math section with charlie swayne altho i found it very hard to understand. also the videos of the pros playing online are VERY entertaining. daneil going broke in a micro game was one of the MANY videos they have of him and numerous other pros playing online. Paul Wasicka is also on there with videos of him playing cash games on full tilt. id say your better off buying books from sklansky and harrington and utilizing all the free information on the internet.

Is it worth the money when your playing micro limits? Since you need to play so abc I always thought not. If/when I reach 50NL i feel it may be time to invest in a training site and always figured cardrunners was the best. So what are the options for low limit cash game? Deuces cracked or cardrunners.

re: Best Poker Training Site Imo the obv answer is "it depends on what you are searching for." As strictly a plo/nlhe player, I stick to bluefire. Primarily cash game vids but they just announced a sit-n-go team of new pros(http://www.bluefirepoker.com/pros) and free trial so is def worth it imo.

I've only been on the pokerstars pokerschool and I found that really helpful. I've never heard of half of these other places though so I probably just suck lol. Time to start googling I guess.

I have a friend who started playing online through facebook’s texas hold em. I know it’s not ideal to train using this site as many, if not all, are not seriously playing as they just try their luck on almost anything. But even given this, you’ll still pick some notes up. You’ll learn how to deal with beginners who almost bets on all hands and go all in pre-flop. Back to my friend, he’s now stashing money from pokerstars and have won his first championship at a local poker den. Pokerstars’ a good training ground though.

Just started a free year with Deucescracked, so I'll let you all know. If anyone has some specific vids to recommend, let me know. I really liked all the training over at Full Tilt Academy, it was free, and the fact that they integrate their lessons with your actual play is pretty cool.
