| Basic rule question: all-in option I am playing a minor site (Purple Lounge) and in a tournament today there was the following all-in scenario with 3 players: - Big-stacked guy to the left makes a decent bet - Short-stacked guy to the right goes all-in, a bit higher than the bet - I want to go all-in to push out guy to the left, but can only call or fold! Wtf? I cannot go all-in? Do different sites have different rules, or do I just not understand the poker rules? Was it because of my position (think I was maybe the BB). |

| re: Basic rule question: all-in option poker If you hadn't acted on that betting round you should absolutely be able to shove. Say you're in BB for 100 Big stack makes it 600 from UTG Shorty shoves for 900 Everyone else folds You can Shove all in for any amount. |

The only thing that makes sense is if he opened and the big stack flatted and then the SS shoved for less than a legal raise. That's why posting hhs makes things like this so much easier. |
