Badugi freerolls and some help with strategy
On reefer Poker, they offer a Badugi freeroll every day, and the game has me somewhat stymied. On the flop. pre-draw, what would be a good starting hand, and what is a fold hand??? I really don't know much about this game, and I keep getting knocked out VERY early. Any helps or hints on good starting hands would be appreciated. (And this with someone who is fairly good at razz and lowball)..

I prefer at least a three suited hand to start, with some low cards, preferrably at least 2 of them 9 or under. If they are 3 suited and 3 are all low (un-suited) it's a great starting/raising hand. You're only drawing to one, or can even bluff with it, hoping to catch the others with a '3 hand'. An exception is an A,2 or A,3 unsuited, at the right price, leaving a draw of 2. Early in a game, I will seldom stay in a hand with less than 3 unsuited starters. |

re: Badugi freerolls and some help with strategy poker
I disagree. 2 real good cards is enough to draw. And three-suited with face cards isn't any good. 4-suited with face cards isn't bad. But, it's poker, not just cards. Betting matters, representing matters, and bluffing matters.
And yes, alot of people playing badugi freerolls don't know what they are doing. |

This sounds like an intense game to play most of these games involve alot of different skills to play, i dont know how to help but i find it that if you google the game name that usually #1,2 clicks are rules and top hands and stats on the game

re: Badugi freerolls and some help with strategy poker
I just started playing Badugi this week. My second game was a pokerstars freeroll and had 8000 players in it. I somehow got in the top 100. I do have a lot of trouble knowing what to stand pat with and what to start with. My last hand i went out with an 7 high badugi. I still wonder if i should have made that call. Thx for this post. I am eager to get all the advice i can can get.
