| What's the best adjustment/advice you have for someone playing $2NL, when compared to the standard TAG style or even LAG style for higher stakes? In other words, most FAQs/tutorials tend to be geared towards reasonable experienced opponents. What's the key adjustments to that if you want to play $2NL? |

| INSTASUBSCRIBE this thread. Ok... here is my question: When you get pocket pairs what two suits do you prefer? Or do you not care? If you do care: Do you want the same two colors? Does the preference change with rank? I have other questions... but I will go slowly. cAPS |

I've played my share of donkaments...I mean freerolls, not to mention...waaay too many sngs/mtts, etc, etc. My question is this then...when I've dabbled, albeit spareingly, in ring games I've noticed more BS bluffs than I remember anywhere else (except maybe DRUNK live games back in college). Therefore, other than a decent BR, what else do I need and what am I to expect when I inevitably get to higher stakes ring games? Same ol' BS or do people actually play the cards are they meant to be played? Sheer curiosity at this point as my only decent BR lies @ bodog and I hate the skin of the site...couldn't possibly stand to play there day after day...lol. Anyway...I'm a total newb to the ring game action & I'd like to get decent (serious) input. |

Anyway, keep up the good work and don't be so down on yourself. You are good guy with a lot to give to this site. |

But I can't as a serious question, as I am entirely unteachable, stubborn and a permanent puffer-fish. cAPS |

ETA: 800 buy-ins is way more than enough. Anything about 600 is just silly. |

Why don't you move up to higher levels now? If you're multi-tabling I assume you are a winning player overall. I mean, people generally play for a mixture of fun and profit, and more tables does not = more fun, and if you're not a winning player at more tables that = less profit. So I'm concluding that you make some sort of profit. And there's more profit to be made at higher levels. |

| re: The Ask PHiLTHY a Question Thread poker 9-12 tables is more reactionary. I guess I don't find that more fun. That is, there's no chatting, and it's more about playing position and their HUD stats. It seems to me that when Philthy makes the "Get a game going" posts, he only sits at one table for those sessions. |
