I read it DS, good stuff. I don't know yet how much of it I can apply at 25nl FR and in my own game, time will tell I guess. It's more a general guideline anyway.

Like I said in March results/April goals thread I'm staying (or rather going back) to 25nl Fr and grinding that sucker out. I need to seriously keep my game basic, not-beserko aggressive and showdown orientated like this past week.

I know I can do it, look at me soar cause I'm gonna get there !

March was most profitable month ever for me, let's hope April is March profit x 10!!!

Less than 3 hours til April, guys. Gonna head to a friend's house tonight and chill out before coming back here and grinding some more, GOGOGOGOGO.

I had a good start/end to March, best session ever, hello 5-buyins, ran good and now have me HEM trial. April looks promising.

It's been April for about 12 hours here already and I'm up a couple of bucks at 2NL. Will have to make a point of checking back in on this thread this month

one bad play cost me vs a shorty in that session I stacked QQ on K high board and he had KJ.

Oh well I will learn from my mistakes, felt abit more nervy at 50nl tonight hopefully I will settle down.

Also not looking at my cashier/session results for this week to control tilt in my first 50NL experiences

I'm in. I'm planning to grind $25nl FR all month.

Here's to an awesome April for everyone......still sticking it out at 10nl.......had a wee bit of a tilt problem but seem to be working it out (peeleo just told me that he removed the curse but I don't think he did). Any good luck everyone and I will be avoiding you (enty) on the tables.

Depending on how much went in preflop and just how short he was, stacking there can be pretty standard.

Are you familiar with using SPR to make this type of flop decision?

turning my dollar into a few more, hopefully, this month. started approximately two weeks ago with $1.30ish, hovering around $90 now. a good start, but i know ill have to shed some bad habits i've undoubtedly picked up

I was very absent from the micro grinder's thread last month, and am ashamed. I was way overloaded with school and experimented with HU when it came to poker. Luckily, things are going well in the real world, and I showed a profit in poker. I am going to make it one of my April goals to make this thread the one I spend the most time in and contribute to the most.

Instead of "Let's run good", how about...Let's play solid poker.

The "exploit your opponents" idea is seriously the most $ concept in poker, and if you're not reading these posts & ingraining them into your brain, you suck.

It seems like the contributors to this thread (and the big, massive one for the last 2 months micro thread) are completely by passing this absolute golden post by DSV. If you guys wanna improve your game a ton, then give the 2 threads he has put time and effort into some love. Start discussing them with him, I mean after all thats what these threads were meant to encourage, discussion of topics to improve your games.

Yeah I think about a $9 pot and he had about $8 left behind him so maybe it was pretty standard.

Also no what is the SPR WV?

Stack to Pot Ratio. It affects the strength of the hands you can profitable stack with.

As dsvw56 said, it's a concept I first saw in PNL (read it). And it's the ratio of the smallest remaining stack (in your example $8) to the size of the preflop pot (in your example $9). With a SPR < 2 you'd probably be making a mistake folding with a single overcard (especially since it was a King not an Ace). In your hand the SPR was less than 1, so folding postflop should really never cross your mind.

On April, I really hope that I can get a lot more hands in on Stars and Tilt. Spent most of last month trying to make a $25 bankroll on Walker into something I can fund my other accounts with. But Walker is so soft it's hard to get away from.

I'm thinking about making the switch to 10NL 6-max. Anyone have links to articles or general information on adjustments to make from FR to 6-max? I've seen people (like ChuckTs) playing 6-max at higher levels playing like 33/17. What do you guys think?

The last two weeks in March have been the most profitable for me in months, mostly since I haven't had time to play nearly at all since about October. So hopefully April will be even better than March. Good luck to everyone else as well.

33/17 wouldn't be usual, bit too loos passive. I play about 21/18 something like that and anything up to 33/30 is pretty regular and can be successful. I would check out C9s required reading in the cash forum and read all the 6-max articles.

Thanks, i figured those stats would not be typical at lower limits.. there must be some justification at 200NL. I will check out the articles you speak of

edit: err, could someone post me a link to C9's required reading?

I'm moving up to 4 tables of 25NL this month. I've always been jealous of the volume some of you guys put in. I've got a long hours job and two kids, so I only get to play for an hour or so 3 or 4 nights a week. Made the jump to 3 tables pretty smoothly, and now I will start 4. I will be happy if I clear 5,000 hands this month. I know for some of you, that's only a couple of sessions! I have a 17" monitor and I have to tile tables, so I don't know if I'll ever be able to add more without it being too cramped on my screen. One step at a time, I guess.

Gunslinger, you could cascade the tiles. That is what I used to do with my laptop and played more than 4 tables. You won't be able to see all of them at once, but you can definitely still play.

You mean tile 4 tables, and then put 1 table on top of each one, in four stacks of 2?

Gunslinger, I play 6 tables laid out as the pic below, when i ever want to play 8 i just shrink the tables a little and i can fit in another 2, by sitting in the right hand corner of the table you can just about see when you are being dealt cards on a table, if your not in a hand, and pre-fold if u have trash or w/e makes it a lot easier i think. Other than that, table ninjas definetly the way forward, i dont know if you use it but if you dont its an awesome app.

Let me chime in. That works, too. But I still prefer stacking them full-size. It's easy to do 10 that way (or more, but not as easily).
