Analysis of a poker vid Please be patient with my newbie thought process. The was was on DC nl headsup by gman called the duel. Preflop: 2/4 100 bb deep Please be patient with my newbie thought process This is from a DC headsup nl 2/4 vid by gman called the duel -Sb-gman raise 3x Ah9s -Bb called Flop: 6h Js Kh (pot 24) -Bb checked -btn checked behind Turn: 9h (pot 24) -Bb bet 16 -Gman called -what would bb bet +60% of pot into this boad texture? •value hands: KJ K6s 66 •semi bluffs: pair plus combo draw of some sort -I'm assuming it's standard to just call cuz of the paired 9 and nut flush draw...what if it was an 8h on the turn would it be standard to call?

HU ranges are much much much much much wider than 6m or fr. For one, villain doesn't only have semibluffs and value hands in his range for a turn bet - he has tons of bluffs and potentially some worse made hands turning themselves into bluffs (55-, 6x maybe). That said, the value range you've given villain is insanely tight. Villain will be betting any king he flatted with pf (depending on the opponent this could be KTo+/K8s+ or as wide as something like K7o+/any suited Kx), the stronger jacks (JT+), and he may be betting something like TT or a strong 9 for value if the dynamics are in line with thin value bets. All that is actually a case for a fold, but given how wide villain will be bluffing this turn, and our equity in the hand, we just can't fold. That includes an 8h turn.

re: Analysis of a poker vid Thanks, I assume by calling w/ A9 you get value from bluffs that give up on the river, and If your behind on the turn you've got outs to improve. This scenario maybe too general but if an Ace hits on the river and there's a bet into you how confident are you in calling? let's reverse it and say it's checked to you, would that be a spot to value bet two pair?
