You're describing a HU match.

Which advantage are you referring to? It's not position, since HU you will alternate being in position.

All players have some weakness you can exploit - but you have to figure out what the weaknesses are first in order to determine what you can try to exploit, and pay attention to gameflow to look for opportunities where you have an edge.

If the advantage is skill, close the table and open a new one.

He is describing a situation that is probably a freeroll, as buy-ins usually show up. At a cash game, sit-outs are removed after 3 orbits, at least they are at Full Tilt.Anyway, at a full table, the active guy on your left is at a huge advantage. Every time you fold, he is in position to steal everyone else's blinds unchallenged. It is not at all HU. You are in the worst position in all but the 1 hand when you get to be dealer.

With regards to the OP, don't know what to tell you, it sucks. I suppose you could be more aggressive and raise with a very widened range. Your opponent simply doesn't have to work as hard. And his range will widen as well. I've been in this situation a few times. Sometimes we'd befriend each other and take turns, sometimes, the guy ahead of me is a prick about it. If I'm acting last, and the guy behind me calls, I'll let him have it unless my cards are good. I like to play fair and keep the peace. If he's raising a little too much, I 'adjust'.

be very aggressive in this point. I was just in a tournament where all but me and one other person was sitting out. I would raise about 80% of the time to show that i'm in control of the table. then when the flop came I always lead out with the same bet.

Becareful because it you know that your person is passive then it good, but if he a calling station I would just check

If your're on a cke network you can sit out the entire match or until you blind out. That is for tournment play. When that happenns for me If I have a premium hand I raise and try to steal the blinds. Sometimes you get someone that will raise alot to get the blinds for themselves. I fold until i get a hand let them bet and proceed to take their money.

you dont, beat the player next to you and then beat the other player, by him sitting out he is really screwing you guys

I dont see the advantage to sitting out in a freeroll. It seems to me you could miss some good hands that should be played you can always fold. Can someone explain the purpose to doing this.

Just hammer him constantly and try to get a read on his play.

People dont sit out and watch play happen, they just sign up for the freeroll, find something better to do and leave. You especially get this in the U.S freeroll where you have all day to sign up but are probably not going to play.

I have had situtations like this and most of the time we just split taking the antes of the other player and dont confront each other until players come online or the table is broken
