AK.....Tournament vs. Cash Game

I just have a thought that I would like to see if it starts a little debate between people here. My question is AK more valuable in a tournament than in a cash game?

I know the percentage AK wins against a random hand is the same in either tournament or cash game. I just think AK in a tournament is more valuable because at some point in a tournament you are forced to make moves where as in a cash game you can just sit and wait if you so desire.

I am interested in hearing people's opinions on this one. Thanks.

A lot of people (in 2NL at least) are playing cash games like they see tournaments on TV. They shove any pair, any ace and high SCs. AK is shoved light PF by many cash players.

As I see it, AK serves as big weapon preflop and I think that with a big enough stack, it's the same for both cash and tournament. 3bet or 4bet bluff. If you get shoved by a pair (except AA and KK) you have 44% equity... if to call the shove you have to put less than that... well... you are winning because a lot of hands will fold to a 4bet.

I think the biggest difference is the PF shoving by small stacks that makes little sense in cash games with stacks of at least 100BB. Then again, not a tournament guy.

I kind of see tournament AK as a top 5 hand and cash AK as a top 10 hand
