re: Aggressive poker Too tight? I read a tip from Erick Lindgren at FTP and he told in the text to try play lot of pots for cheap. preflop bet like 2.5 x and ppl would fold and u pic a lot pots. If someone calls he has no idea what you could have. Example you could flop a st8 with rag. And use this strategy only when ur with good stack at tourneys

I like TAG over LAG I know some pros are loose-aggressive but I can't seem to make it work for me in the games I play (low stakes and freerolls). My experience is that I should limit bluffing to strong possitional plays with high possibilities and play the nuts hands post flop. I think most players play way too much and kill themselves off early in a tourney. Case in point: In a $500 bodog freeroll (3 daily), if you sit out the first 60 mins of the game you'll lose 30% of your stack and 70% of the players will be gone when you sit down. Players will then respond rationally to your bets. That is, you won't see 3-4 people calling your all in bets. I have cashed this tourney several times playing this way. For me at least, this is much more effective than going all in with KJ off on the first hand and hoping for the best.

trying to see too many cheap flops will KILL you. the trouble is, you wind up hitting just enough of the flop to keep you in the hand and then WHAM! someone kicks the crap out of you. loosen up. you have to make people pay to play, otherwise you will have no idea what range to put them on.

re: Aggressive poker I ddi graduate from on-line pokerschool at pokerspace and i highly recomend it. I am still trying to get myself to fold my KK when I've clearly been beaten. there is an outside chance you are smarter than me. But I'll never admit it.

there's nothing wrong on being too tight playing poker your just being carefull , but you need too loosen up sometimes and you even need to make a bluff sometimes too.you should be changing your stratrgy always so that other players will have a hard time reading your game.

I was pissed off the other night after losing a bunch. I said WTF, and went in to a .5/.10 game and experimented with being a BALLS OUT MANIAC. My VP was probably 85 or so, I called and raised mercilessly. It was really just to blow off steam, but I hit a few cards and ended up winning 3X the buy in. Honestly, the dynamic was very interesting, and after a while I really got into it. There was a lesson in there somewhere on how to take charge of a table. I think there were a few people that were mildly unhappy with me that night.

If you can't just loosen up,then you must accept that this is the way you are and that it's never going to change... So you should find some tips on the best ways to play tight and not be desperate about it.And remember that many poker professionals are just like you so cheer up and enjoy the game...That is the only thing that matters anyway |

Try not leak chips by calling and missing, calling and missing etc. Eventually all your chips will run out. However playing aggressive can make you lose the tourny so fast you won't know whats hit ya! If you prefer to play tight use table image to your advantage. They see you as tight meaning if you check they think you have nothing so you can take their chips when you have! Trapem! RK
