.25/.50 NLH flop fold pocket 9's Ok, I may not use the correct jargon here, as i am moderatly new, and particularly new to any poker forum. Here is the situation, let me know what you do: I have pocket 9's in a .25/.50 full ring game. Two limpers come in and the player to my right raises to 3X the BB. I call and the limpers fold. The flop comes 5h Ah 3s No help for me... The villian (i think this is the term i've seen here) bets 3X the BB again. Ok...i wait till my action time ticks to the end and I re-raise to 6X the BB I suppose my thinking here is let him think I am trying to sucker him by looking indecisive, but, in actuality semi-bluffing. The villian does the same to me and then raises 12X the BB. I now fold thinking either he has a higher pocket pair, maybe AK, or he just out-bluffed me. What do you think?

Hello Shootwillus, and welcome to the CardsChat forums! I assure you that you won't regret having joined this awesome community. My game has improved immensely since I started reading the articles and the great posts that you can find on this site. Also, regarding analyzing hand histories, there is actually a specific place on these forums just for that purpose. Check out my response in this thread here for some quick pointers on how to post hand histories here on CardsChat. In general it helps to know what type of game your playing (cash game, tourney?), how many people at the table (full table, six max?), stack sizes, etc, as all of these things will affect how a hand can best be played. Posting the history by actually copying it directly off the site and pasting it into a hand converter is the easiest way to make sure this all gets included. Like I said, take a look at that thread, and you'll be on your way. Once again, welcome, and best of luck!

If he re-raised your re-raise, he definitely has a better hand than you do, or he's a completely reckless player. What was your read on this guy? I'm not sure I would even re-raise here. If he's continuation betting, just flat out call. But in most cases, this is a pretty easy fold, even if I hate folding 9's.
